also happy to see banana man doing well again yeah he isn't what he once was but still a thousand runs for your country and countless wickets runs in as hard first ball as he does his last as big hearted as anyone doesn't have the talent of a lot of players in the aussie set up but for guts and determination or never giving in he would be top 3 with out a doubt had a great career
Commas are your friend

Voges the Undismissable.

What this does, as it always seems to when a player is on an unbelievable hot streak for a tour or a season, is show you why Don Bradman will always be the greatest cricketer of all time.
Best batsman definitely, but Sobers is up there as best cricketer

You're clueless, rugby union is second only to soccer as a world sport, have a look at the world cups. the soccer and rugby world cups are huge, aussie rules doesn't even have a world cup and the rugby league world cup is a joke.

Just because the All Blacks beat the Wallabies in the RWC final it doesn't make it a minor sport.

It is a niche sport at best in Australia, well behind football/soccer, AFL, cricket, Rugby League, Netball. It isn't a bad sport but whilst we care about Australia when they play, we forget about it regardless of whether we win in a week. Union just isn't that important in Australia.

Doesn't make it a better sport than rugby union, it's more acceptable for mums and kids though.

The softening up of Australian sporting culture has begun, can't have little Johnny getting hurt playing rugby, better play soccer.

I can't stand football/soccer much so you are preaching to the wrong person. However, soccer is physical enough, it requires more skills at the very top level though.

Of course rugby union is behind the AFL and rugby league here, but in world sport they are insignificant compared to rugby union.

World sport...soccer/football and basketball are number 1 and 2 by 2 lengths of the Flemington straight. The rest are in a bundle after that. Probably have NFL, baseball, AFL, netball as the next ones in no particular order.

Only a Kiwi could think this. There is only one country world wide where it is the number 1 sport.

Basketball is second to soccer

I'm talking worldwide reach, of course India make cricket one of the biggest sports due to having billions of mad Indian cricket fans.

Rugby union is popular in other countries like France, Argentina and Japan where cricket isn't popular.

What about basketball, which is popular in the USA, China, Russia, Philippines, all of Europe and South America
