May as well start one

Co-captain Jarrad McVeigh is unlikely to see much game time in the NAB Challenge, as he continues his recovery from knee surgery. McVeigh has only just started running but looks in great physical shape. Ben McGlynn is being managed after his hamstring issues in 2015, but the small forward is running strongly and could play some footy late in the pre-season. Talented speedster Zak Jones (knee) hasn't seen much action outside of the gym but will be stepping up his training in the next month after off-season surgery, while the luckless Alex Johnson (knee) is consulting specialists after his fourth reconstruction again proved unsuccessful. On the plus side for the Swans, Luke Parker (ankle), Kieren Jack (knee) and Sam Reid (hamstring) are in full training and have fully recovered from the injuries that saw them play little or no part in last year's finals series. – Adam Curley

Slow start to the year for McVeigh but good to see Parker, Jack and Reid all fully fit and ready to go.

Still sad to see AJ in trouble.

Glad Heeney was not mentioned as I remember a month or so again hearing he was dealing with knee tendonitis or something like that. Hopefully that means he is fully fit and ready to go.

Also someone needs to create a video of every disposal Heeney had in 2015 so I can watch it over and over and over and over again :p

It's something he will need to deal with for the rest of his career like Tippett and Franklin.

Isn't there some sort of surgery he can have? It just is not a good sign that he is already struggling as it sort of feels like Cooney who was a shadow of his former self because of a knee that would no heal, worse for Heeney though as he have not seen his best yet.

Heeney has the classic jumper knee if it's severe there is surgery im sure they know the best action to take.

Depends on the injury. Sometimes it is the way the body got constructed rather then something that could be fixed. It would be interesting to know the actual issue.

Hope Heeney's injury is not too bad. When you guys stitched us up (yet again) AO 2015 he put in a master class.
Great footballer. So as a lover of the game sad to see him leave the field early on the weekend. All the best young man.

That half-volley gather/turn opponent inside out/left-foot bullet to Buddy was simply amazing footy

I actually saw that moment and yes it was amazing. So amazing I remember my face contorting into an expression akin
to someone supping on a turd as I hissed * thru gritted teeth. Heeney must have had leather poisoning at games end.
Whenever the ball was within his sphere of influence he owned it. Hopefully we can get over you guys this year.
Its been a long time between drinks.
Best for 2016 and to Isaac in particular.
