Why are North Melbourne good? It makes no ******* sense.

A small handful of elite players. An average list age between 'In our prime to old as *' means there is lots of experience , zero meaningful injuries , a fullback who plays by a different set of rules , players in career form and umpires pets.

It wouldn't take many injuries to take this team from go to woah.

Why are North Melbourne good? It makes no ******* sense.

After 14 flaky, inconsistent and undisciplined seasons Jarrad Waite is suddenly the best forward in the competition at 33. Bizarro world.

North with three tall forwards all contributing, a mammoth ruckman and a pretty undersized defence.

Meanwhile Port go into the season with a MASSIVE lumbering defence, plodder ruckman and 1 tall forward.

Polar opposites.

Watching north makes me think of that scene in that awful sandler movie where the girl says her new bf has a five year plan
Good thing you added the rest or it'd be any Sandler movie you're describing. North should be where Freo. is, falling off a cliff. They're an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, kept together by tape and stories of when Moses came down from the Mountain and instructed Boomer on how to play football.

Far out. As a man that put money on the dogs this is killing me. They are s**t house with the ball in hand.

Amazing how bad a side can look when they keep turning the ball over.

Dogs are still a fair way off from genuinely challenging, and they haven't even played a game away from Etihad yet.

Without the injuries, i reckon they could still account for north when it counts. North will be challenged by injury, soreness and wear and tear at some stage. Bound to be.

Dogs playing like us going inside 50 tonight, but at least we have Dixon to kick to, they're trying to do it with Stringer.
Except Stringer has spent the night playing from behind. Has a lot of talent and can be a great player but is massively over hyped for what he has shown this year.

Bulldogs have an unbelievable ability to win the footy. They've looked dominant at ground level all night, but the Kangas have looked classier, more effective defensively and they've used their height advantage at both ends of the ground.
