Any broken tackle is bad enough at AFL level. Broken tackles in the open kill you. Hollands had 4 or 5 efforts where he was brushed off with contempt, at least 3 of which directly lead to goals. His inability to half contests squandered a couple of other opportunities. Hollands is not winning...

I'll be gobsmacked if he plays next week. He was tracking similarly last year before his injury, and was probably a week or two away from being rested. Played very well upon return from injury but he's far off the pace atm. I think that's the worst game he's ever played.

Third tall forward is probably the main weakness atm with Martin and JSOS injured. We've got one too many genuine AFL calibre defenders (Marchy, Gov, Kemp). Makes sense that we use one as a forward rather than potentially languishing in the 2s. Most good sides have the luxury of a swingman.

Was struggling to walk post game, would be a great result if he's available.

Kemp forward makes a lot of sense. With Marchbank in the side, we've got the defensive options. If Kemp isn't working, can swing him back and McGovern up forward. Enough good kicks in that backline to cover. Two genuine swingmen that can play either end of the ground could be a valuable asset...

Kicking was sensational all game.

Bit harsh re the goal. It looked bad, but if Banfield took that ball cleanly, he's running into an open goal if Fantasia isn't there to tackle. Instead, he was smart enough (or lucky enough) to tap/fumble it to Sharp.

Interesting timing - the very next day after this post, Cripps picks up 27 touches, 3 goals and 3 Brownlow votes in our first win in 2 months. The first of 10 straight wins that he plays in on the way to a prelim. Maybe the Curnow Camp was overrated and the bump was the catalyst. :p
