Just what Irymple need, another jet to add to the fleet...🤣...
From what ive heard/read he's a left foot runner that accumulates a lot of possessions, sounds similar to Coghlan...
To be fair, Robinvale were in it up until 3/4 time but were effectively overrun. For a side that probably won more contested ground ball during the season than Mildura and Irymple combined, they couldn't do that on the day that matters and were carved up on the outside of the packs. Their...
With the grand final game to go, Robinvale v Irymple will be a pretty physical encounter I suspect. Do you reckon Mildura going out in straight sets was an upset? Losing Ant Matthews on the morning of the game didn't help, along with Mitch Rogerson unable to play due to recovery from surgery...
Robinvale did Robinvale things, will play in the 2nd Semi in a few weeks when they finish minor premiers, Irymple smashed Wentworth by 95 which i dont reckon anyone saw coming and jumped to 2nd, Mildura slipped to 3rd after coughing up their game against a tough Red Cliffs who will need to win...
Again, today should have seen Mildura beat Irymple, on paper.... Kerridge, M. Rogerson, Martin, Matthews, Dean, Lando v Coghlan, Pezzaniti, Mee, Brownbridge, Wandin, Dimasi... Mildura have the talent hands down..they just need to learn how to win...
There is talk about Sunraysia heading to Alice Springs in 2024, although the weather was horrendous, the concept is sound. Would have had a truckload of supporters at the ground if not for the rain event that hit that day...
Its a yes/win for me....
The intent to harm wasnt proven at the appeal to the suspension term. To challenge the initial penalty required something more than just video evidence, there needed to be insights presented that the act was intended to cause harm. The outcome does not always determine the punishment.
Plenty of chat locally about the Nick Mee tackle on Sam Brinsmead, the injury and subsequent suspension (2 weeks). Merbein challenged the automatic 2 weeks, seeking 8 weeks is my understanding. Saw the tackle, it was almost too perfect with Sam fracturing vertebrae when landing with Mee on top...
Spot on about Mildura U18s, very well coached and prepared for senior football. I was an observer through parts of that period, and their systems, mentoring, coaching was second to none. They did lose a lot year after year to Uni, work, etc....I had the core core group of 2010-2012 winning...
Really concerned about U18 footy right now, Imps have pulled their team from the competition due to numbers, this does not look good for the Clubs future.
Who knows, several clubs have struggled for numbers during preseason, what is known is old timers and hangers on generally chip in to make up the numbers, and that is what club footy is about...
All over Red Rover...Shame really, was building towards a cracker of a finals series.... I wonder how many will get to pre-season 2022 and just say **** it, what's the point...
Not sure if it's the right thing to do at this stage, I would have thought put a line through the year and start 2021 fresh... Five SFNL clubs already pulled the pin, season result will be compromised or be forever marked with an footnote IMHO...
The footage is available on the Sunraysia Daily website, search through the Sports section and you'll find it....
Not a great deal in it, basically the Imps player was hip and shouldered in the middle of his back by some coward supporter immediately after the final siren.... luckily for him it...
Not yet, apparrently he's just a supporter, holds no official role at the Swallows, the footage is pretty clear so someone will recognise him... I reckon he'll spend the summer regretting it and looking over his shoulder out in public....
Just.....Wow..... Awesome result for Marlion and brave by the Tigers.... Who presents the jumper to him? So many questions and what if's..... I love it...!!!
What a finish to the year. Irymple wins the GF against the heavy favorite Imps, Hartlett packs his bags and heads back to Adelaide, Callow and George reckon they're done after winning a couple of flags..... Can't wait for 2020...
In no particular order Dan Coghlan (Irymple), Dave Hankin (Imperials), Josh Carmichael (Merbein), Andrew Wall & Wade Hancock (Wentworth), Jacob Grigg (Ouyen United), Tyler Curtis (Sth Mildura), Seamus Mitchell (Robinvale-Euston).....
I reckon Coghlan would be favorite though....
Any predictions for the first round of the finals? I reckon Robinvale may be out week 1, Wenty haven't really put a foot wrong even in their loss to the Swallows last week. The heavyweight match will certainly be Irymple v Imperials, will be a lot of heat and feeling in this one.. Imps goal...
All the strikes and subsequent suspensions would have resulted in 4 weeks or greater penalties at AFL/VFL level. Keep in mind the player hit with the forearm I understand is still having issues with the damage as a result of the hit.
Footage was viewed during the investigation, hence the rejection by Irymple of the penalties handed out to both the Imperials players. The Irymple player accepted his penalty, as did Imps. Ultimately, Hards got 3 (after tribunal), Sicker and Mee 2 each....
It's going to make any meeting during...
If irymple objected to the suspensions of Hards and Sicker to move to tribunal, there must be footage of the incidents or other means of highlighting their position, otherwise it's just rehashing the investigators notes...
Very interesting indeed....
