The AFL should start paying those as free kicks in the goal square (and counting the goal), happens all the time, the defender gets away with a complete shove with no chance at the ball. Oscar Allen did it to Tabs? a couple years ago.
I don't think it's an insult, your part of the team on gameday. It's better than playing for Peel. Banner's versatility is exactly why he's a great candidate every week for the sub role.
Without a doubt. To perform like he has on a side like North whilst getting bashed from pillar to post being the ONLY key forward most of the time is remarkable.
I can understand it. If the midfield and forward line improve their consistency in games then the backline will move the ball. Up until now the midfield and forward line is a crap shoot from quarter to quarter and game to game.
I don't know how you have a problem when you don't have any of the actual numbers and do not manage the salary cap of an AFL club. Your 'problem' is imaginary.
You didn't like his game in his first season with us? He was playing 60%. There was nothing wrong with it and lets face it we were much 'harder' in the middle, mind you we also had Mundy still playing.
He can replicate it, it's the coaching staff that doesn't like his two-way game methinks. Which I don't see as an issue when Brodie just plays inside mid and his job is to get the ball out and tackle which he does very well.
Having said that who would you take out? Johnson? O'Meara? Erasmus?
The thing is the term 'athletic chumps' just means someone who is ABNORMALLY athletic. All of those above names were athletes and above average athletes at that. I don't anyone that is playing AFL is not an 'athlete'.
