Hey gang, I've got a couple of extra offerings for those who want to jump in a couple of comps.
I've got one standard salary cap league going on. Invite code: 439929
I've also got 4 spots in a draft league this Saturday at 4pm.
Details - 12 teams of 3Fw-4Mi-3De-1Ru / 4Be (1 auto emergency)...
Always felt that the venture reflected poorly on both parties with a great deal of spin being required to make what was essentially a big gamble look attractive. Now we can move forward as a club free of gimmick players. At least the man is honest and picked a good time for transition.
Glad there are people who have embraced the Giants and added them into a healthy sports diet. Especially glad that they seem to be having some traction despite all the people in the media who constatly bemoan why they shouldn't be or how bad they'll be.
I was raised in Far North Queensland and...
Renewed my ACT Platinum, didn't get a chance to travel to Skoda this season so hopefully I'll be able to shuffle up if they organise a bus or something again.
I'm not particularly new to the NFL and I was hesitant to make a new thread for it, but if there is anyone who hasn't tried NFL fantasy before or wants to dick around in a bit of a rookie league, I've got a bog standard one up on the NFL website. All the leagues put up so far seem like...
So no fantasy drafting anymore was pretty much axing my favourite thing about Franchise mode, was great for multiplayer leagues.
I'm still looking forward to the expanded connected careers mode and would be keen to start a league here on BF (Xbox for me)
Pretty much this. Being level at half time is a massive achievement, don't downplay it. The fact that Geelong has managed to pull away after half time is both testament to their class and experience and our youth and inexperience.
Fantastic opening quarter, lots of good pressure applied across the whole ground. Scoring 4 goals against such good opposition will do wonders for the team's confidence.
9/10 quarter that one (-1 for not being in front)
There was no real reason to consider the alternative. Sheedy has been doing a great job being the face of the club, interacting with media, fans, detractors and supporters alike. I also don't doubt that he'd be getting the players knit together to form the foundations for a great club and...
This is great news as it solves the one major issue we had in developing our squad. I'm interested to see what the timeline of development will be, can't see it being finished by pre-season 2013.
Just got home, after the win at Manuka, we stopped off for a few at the pub and then to the roller derby and now home! Awesome 4 qtr effort with winners all over the ground. And the General (Patton) killed it in the reserves too!
Turning each game into a kind of mini-event like this hopefully draws a wider range of people to the football apart from just footy fans and shows a more general willingness to engage the community on a wide variety of social issues. All pluses from me.
Couldn't work as a state format, it would have to be an All-Stars proposition. East v West or Victorian and non-victorian club players. Having more than one game is ridiculous.
This first game at Manuka each year will be for the PMs cup.

Will definitely be getting along to this game, hoping for a really good turnout.
Conferences are great for determining a fixture in that you can foresee who you are going to play in the years to come. But for seeding finals it is terrible. So I agree with the idea for having conferences but only if it's to determine the fixture AND NOTHING ELSE.
Minimal changes to the side. Turning out to be a much more stable line-up than the Suns were in their first year.
B: Phil Davis, Tim Mohr, Jack Hombsch
HB: Luke Power, Chad Cornes, Adam Kennedy
C: Rhys Palmer, Tomas Bugg, Tom Scully
HF: Stephen Coniglio, Curtly Hampton, Adam Treloar
F: Shaun...
