So many times there’s no excuse for Geelong players being so free. North were going inside 50 and Fisher was standing 20m off his opponent on the wing for no reason at all. Ball comes back out and goes to his player, up the Geelong end for a goal. Just sheer laziness and sh*t coaching. Ridiculous.
What? Your own fans are admitting they were there. You can’t face away from the ball and wrap up a player; you can’t reach out and trip someone, and you can’t pin a forward’s arm down (Larkey was contributing to that as well)
I think the umpire was on the other side so just saw Larkey’s arm being held down by the defender. But yeah, unlucky for the defender in that circumstance.
Again, remarkably irrelevant comment. Huge umpiring error in Freo’s favour that likely prevented it going back to just 13 points. Freo have been dominant since half time, that doesn’t change the fact that the non-call was a huge piece of fortune.
It likely would’ve been 13 points with 8 minutes left. Would’ve been interesting for “never a chance”. Very fortunate umpiring mistake in Freo’s favour.
Don’t want to see any more complaints from Freo fans. Bounce not brought back that went out of the circle in Jackson’s favour, then Switkowski caught cold but play on.
Exciting signs. Powell coming of age and LDU showing how elite he is in the clinches when fully fit. Stephenson is disappointing as a player. Good skills, but often shows zero game awareness or composure.
Which handouts are dominating the game today for us? Be specific.
Our best players today have been Powell, LDU, Sheezel and McKercher, none of which were handouts. So who do you mean?
I agree the quality is embarrassing, but his fingers clearly got pushed back from multiple angles, it was just whether it was before or after the line. Last angle showed the ball still half on the line. The review system is a farce, but I think that was the right call on the (terrible) evidence...
