He has a very emotional connection with the City of Melbourne from his words which easily translates to our club.
He wont relocate us because he belives our state capital city should have it's own team. He just doesn't want that team to be one that gets pencilled in for an easy 4 points each week!
Jack Gunston type forward role. Pops up for the occasional mark and converts with 80% goal kicking efficiency.
Look at their physical stats, Watts should be better. I think there's maybe something wrong with our development culture.

Interesting article on AFL.com.au about the Swans and Hawks recruiting process.
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/148720/default.aspx
Seems its hardly about talent and more about creating a demanding & high standards culture. Sound familiar?
That video reminds me what a talented side we are offensively. I just think Neelds gameplan did not play to that at all while Baileys did. Lets hope that once the defensive mindset is ingrained and subconscious in the players, they will be given free reign to go for a more attacking focus in...
I dont think he would be a cultural fit with the Dees players. Seems like a bit of a Mr. Cool high roller and going to a bottom of the ladder club will not sit well with his ego. I heard a caller on SEN leak a rumour he wants to go to Hawthorn to 1. Play with his best mate Buddy and 2. Play in...
Re: Dees v the Dogs - the Good, the Bad & the Fugly - Woof !
First game Id been to for the year and to be honest seeing it live was soo dissapointing. Barely anything for the highlight reel bar Jeremey Howe. Feels like we've gone down a mile since last year but I understand we are re-learning...
This is the most intelligent and insightful insight into what really happened yesterday so far. As someone who actually plays football, I can attest to the critical importance of your mental and emotional state on how you go out there on the field. Any added pressure or "outcome dependance" will...
This is true. Let's not forget Neeld inherited Bailey's mess. Soft player recruitment, run & carry types, not a single hard nut (except Tapscott). Look at Hawthorns hard nuts and Collingwoods. Neeld will slowly adjust the list to how it should be but it will take 2-3 years. We need 2-3 very high...
Re: Port Adelaide this Friday
Is this a statement by Neeld? I dont think he was impressed with Watts efforts last week despite the media saying he 'backs him'. I know i wasnt impressed.
At least I know ill get 100% efforts out of Petterd, Green, Howe, & Dunn.
Watt's intensity this year was still a long way off the likes of an A grade player, he still doesn't appear to put his whole body and energy into marking attempts and leads at the ball. Granted, he improved a lot from his first 2 years where he barely broke out of a canter.
I work in the city so somewhere close to there would be ideal to get to training by 6pm.
Albert Park probably closest. Will give the coach a call and see when pre-season starts.
I guess I was wondering if any clubs were specifically looking for players because I know we had waaay too many...
Hey Guys,
Looking for a new club to join around the South Yarra area. Have played to U/18 level, then played Club 18's for a couple years in 2008-09, am 28 years old now. Looking to get back into it and after a friendly club where newbies are welcome. Are my choices just Southern Districts or...
Re: The official FU Tom $cully Thread! MFC supporters only - MFC SUPPORTERS ONLY!
Tom needs to ake a leaf out of Jose Mourinho's book. He just turned down $68 million over two years to coach a Russian soccer team:eek...
He said he would make his decision at the end of the season all along and thats what he did. He just needed to see the new workplace first, you wouldn't accept a new job without meeting your future bosses and seeing the office first would ya;)
He has not had a big impact on any game this year. Don't know if its because he has been injured or hiding a secrete but both will make someone play far less than they are capable of.
Melbourne are a bunch of short people, surely one of the smallest teams in the league. Interesting to hear Flash Davey's comments today in the media
"It was nice having Byron down there, big Byron, a big brother looking after me. It made my job a lot easier. We haven't got these sort of guys now...
Is this true? If so we definitely need a BIG marking forward like Patton far more than a small running midfielder as we already have Gysberts, McKenzie, Trengrove, Blease. I'd defenitely make that trade for Patton. Would GWS allow it?
