Was just reading over some stuff I missed, Tanner a great get by MV. He only played 2's because he had a bad year with injury, was in the senior leadership group and finished equal 3rd with Willie Wheeler in the 2011 senior B&F.
He was just asking the question if anyone knew details which you answered. Everyone is going to be all over it this year, people talked about Keilor Park folding as well because the league still want to go ahead with the 3 divisions but if a club folds it will be untenable
Good call, if you want to be able to move clubs freely don't sign multi-year contracts or don't sign a contract at all and play for nothing if we want to talk about the spirit of the game.
Against Echuca or Echuca United?
If it was against Echuca then that's a top effort because GV League is a top standard. Any word on how big Lance went?
Correct, maybe KP just can't afford to pay guys like Murray Silver to kick 20 goals against Jacana and might need to do some hard work recruiting guys who just want to play footy regardless of cash like Jacana, Roxy and Moonee Valley have to every year
Agree 100%, if done correctly will eventually be great. A few clubs will get the sads about being called a C grade club at the start but if it is a proper competition i.e 8 or more teams then it can only work out positively.
What will kill it is clubs overspending trying to stay in B grade...
'I've heard a whisper'
C grade could yet be put off for another year, just like it was changed from the start of this year to after everyone has played once.
Moonee Valley aren't in any trouble at all from reports I've heard, will be pushing hard to stay in B grade with a lot of recruits but even if they went to C grade the club has a solid group of people working behind the scenes to make sure the club will stay viable
Roxy starting to get active, a few guys from Craigieburn.
Anyone know what the following guys are like? Are they senior A graders?
Aaron Brown
Nicholas Tonello
Max Winkle
Clearances opened today.

Moonee Valley the only B Grade club with incoming players listed so far, about 6 I think I counted
Have heard a few things around the traps.
Everyone is saying KP in massive trouble on and off field, Jacana have struggled to get anyone to training, Roxy looking like they will be more competitive and Moonee Valley recruited around 10 decent players.
Everyone obviously knows about Airport...
C Grade is a great concept they just need to make sure it is done right. There is no point in having a 6 team competition, 8 is probably just enough. How are the finals going to work in C grade, 2 teams miss out? That would just be crap from my point of view. The finals in B would need to change...
I think Northern Saints might have over achieved a bit last year anyway and if they have lost a few like those mentioned plus some of the depth players then they could fall back down a bit. Bennett is a big loss and don't underestimate the value of Torres, decent ruckman are hard to find
Any news on the numbers turning up for pre-seasons around the league? Any big signings that haven't been discussed already or rumours of signings to come?
How much are they paying players? Maybe they need to just cut back and take the risk that they will not play finals but at least the club will survive.
These clubs that pay massive coin to players need to understand that it's not sustainable
