It seems to me that the club tried to make it work. They put up with Watters' 'foibles'.. or rather 'w***erness' and at every turn, he spat in their faces, throwing his weight around. Mind you - this is only what I have gathered as an outsider looking in.
You say 'trust' like it is a choice we make. I believe it is better to trust even when I'm wrong, which is more of a personal stance than a correct decision.
It is something that is impossible to know, most of us guess and assume, but who really knows. These are decisions that aren't simply...
So, What if you hire a coach, with all good intentions that this is the man to lead your club for the next 5 - 10 years, and that person turns out to be not what you wanted? Not what he told you he was.... Not the person you want at the helm of your 140 year old multi million dollar club... What...
I understand there is definitely the cash issue, the money thrown at Hawthorn could have been spent better. But wouldn't you look at the viability as Bellerive as a location for Hobart's premier sporting ground before throwing more money at it? I have never been to the ground, and have only been...
I don't understand why people would live near a sporting oval, if the presence of the oval was upsetting.
Although the oval is in a terrible location, maybe now would be a good time to build a new oval in a more central position.
Do we want just one focal point? I thought the idea was three talls in the forwardline.
It never worked, having Kosi and Roo in the same forward line, they would always go for the same ball, and with Kosi's peripheral vision, that was just asking for trouble.
Interesting reading this thread... No one put Goddard into their calculations for our future.... Well before the deal was done - seems people know more about him than I did, not that that means a lot!
Is there any chance that Stanley may be used as a ruckman? I would love to see his speed around the congestion. His athleticism could add a whole new aspect to stoppages.
That is good news, people were up in arms when it was released that all their tax money would get them a home ground with smaller capacity.
Any pictures of the new hill?
Interesting looking place, not sure where the Waverley reference comes from - probably the single tier. Looking at that video it appears that the first row of seats is raised rather high. Which makes sense considering the stadiums was designed to host rugby as the main tenant. Field looks a...
and for the the 'FAUX NICE GUY" comment .... WTF>>>>????
Lenny is not a nice guy, he is the king of all that exists, and you should beg him to marry your daughter! or daughter's if you are lucky enough to snawn a seed that can breed with such a man!!
Yeah man, lets all be super witty!!
We can pick on whomever we please!!
Makes us feel super-special!!
I love footy, it gives me a reason to be a degenerate!
I can't say I am an expert on tensile strength, but it isn't a very large roof and those wires are supporting it, there are no beams either on the top of the roof or underneath it.
That makes sense. I do like the orange seats though, I was under the impression that they would be red. Hopefully they willl eventually be all Orange. Maybe they can make a deal with the SCG, give them red seats for their new stand, and have all orange seats at the showground.
