Ok WDFNL Fans, time to start a new thread for the upcoming season.
Early days and it appears that Dennington will be the team to catch after a successful 2015 campaign. Can anyone match it with them?
Does anyone think the new points system will affect any clubs this season?
Good luck to...
I'd say we'll know the favourite for the flag after this weekends Allansford v Merrivale clash. Although it seems like it could be a tight top four - five with the two mentioned plus Dennington, Collegians and South / Nirranda.
Not sure who the early Esam fancy would be...
What is your vendetta against Hamilton? I have an idea of who you are but wouldn't want to mention any names at this stage. In recent posts all you have done is knock them!
Of course Hamilton has it's issues, as does every club. Two rival clubs merging are always going to have problems, just...
Any predictions with the end of season approaching?
I'll have a stab at it:
Premiers: Koroit
Runners up: Warrnambool
League Medal: Sam Chapman and / or Ben Goodall
Could really be any of the top five, with Koroit and Warrnambool having great finals experience I am leaning towards them...
Once again, great write up HampdenMAD!
My tips for rd2:
T/M v PORTLAND by 20 points (Portland playing with a lot of confidence and a hunger to win)
KOR v CAMP by 12 points (I think Koroit will start playing better as a team and will win at home)
NOR v SOU by 10 goals (North will have too many...
Good run down! I'm not sure that Benny Goodall has won a Maskell just yet though. I think he's one a league b & f in WA, but hasn't quite got the Maskell. Great player!
Bluey was never apart of the Hamilton Kangaroos. He was offered a role as Coach of Harrow-Balmoral and has taken that on. I wouldn't question his fitness either.
I'm sure others have their own personal reasons for leaving or never being apart of the merge in the first place. There was always...
Any news on the new teams joining the league? What are people's thoughts on this? Will they be competitive, or, just 'easybeats' for the current teams?
Tips for round one.
South gambier to beat Portland by 40+
east gambier over west by under 12
North gambier to beat Millicent by 50+
Hamilton to defeat casterton 30+
Expecting teams to be a bit rusty early on, but to pile on the scores in the last quarter.
Any early predictions for the 2012 (and maybe final) season of WBFL?
I'll have a go...
West
North
East
South
Millicent
Portland
Hamilton
Imps
Casterton
Premiers - North
R/up - West
Medal - England
Hopefully the league isn't so SA dominated, but early on it looks as though...
