You are right...this is the subtext of my post - pointing out that the loss of their leadership likely had a significant effect on the performance is an absolute blight on the rest of the more senior/seasoned players.

Oscar is just one of those blokes who, if you watch everything he does across a game, you will battle to find something he actually does wrong. Almost every movement to the ball or his opponent is perfection. Not obsessed.

I never blame bad umpiring for a win or a loss. But that last few minutes and especially the missed HTB was blatant poor umpiring. Brisbane were robbed.

I never blame bad umpiring...never. Until now. The umpires handed Geelong that win on a silver platter in the last 4 minutes. All calls went against the Lions and that missed HTB was the pinnacle of it.
