Definition: A person or thing competing with another for the same objective or for superiority in the same field of activity.
With or without the flags, it has to be Collingwood. Essendon*, whilst hated, are no competition when it comes to vying for the title of greatest AFL team.
You don't understand s**t!
ACC found out about EFC
ACC contacted the afl
afl let EFC know
EFC self reported to save face
AFL tried to get EFC a slap on the wrist, but EFC via Hird wouldn't accept blame and appointed Little the world class litigant to save your sorry arses
The saga turned into a...
Obviously - they played and we won.
In response to what I think you meant though, I don't agree. We had some very solid contributors out of the game, including Yarran for a significant portion.
I thought it was a great game but clearly I would. From a Carlton viewpoint it was great to have a bit of luck with the refs and have the crowd behind us for once against you blokes - it's been far too long.
Regarding your comment on WCE's impending "elite stats", you do realise that we beat...
He sound to me like he knows he's in already - he is talking the talk. Paraphrasing: "I want to see the team and board respond"... "Not a time for making rash decisions, but also not the time to say we can work it out in a few weeks"... "Need a plan"
How's Lyod the douche (on FC) suggesting that Murphy hasn't shown that he can stand up when the team needs him. Doesn't leading your team in a hard game and through a strong opposition come-back, where the odds are against count??
Yes, that's exactly the line the EFC is trying to sell.
"We wanted a safe and compliant program. See, look over there, I signed a consent form. See!"
Works for both the players and the club. Problem is, the club should've known better than to get into such a program in the first place...
It's a moot point. We didn't win it in the last five minutes and the reason we didn't is bc we made stupid errors. Even if we had've won there is a long way to go I. The skills department. Win lose or draw we need to polish up or we will get blown away by decent teams.
Basic skill errors cost us, along with the fact that we were so damn predictable in the first half. In the second we started using the corridor and what do you know... Unfortunately our skills didn't improve enough.
Positives - murph yarran bell menzel warnock Buckley hendo played great games...
I don't know if you have had much experience with appeals, but any court of appeal would slam a player if they appealed on the basis that they were charged under the wrong provision of the code, especially in this situation, where they would be arguing a breach of s.2 rather than s.0...
I think you answered your own concern there... Tackling is imperative at the pointy end of the season. Hopefully something he will improve on during the pre-season.
