Bottom line? He did his knee in Nov/Dec last year so there goes his pre season and the first half of this year. He hasn't "come on" because he can't run out half a game. This kid will be very very good.

Fair call. I've watched a lot of him (unfortunately friends with 3 Blues fans) and I haven't seen anything to get me as optimistic as you are. Time will tell.......

This is what I understand to have happened/be happening. Please correct me if I'm wrong. As early back as 2010 we were s**t. An absolute rabble. We still had to pay 92.5-95% of the cap. Average players were on inflated salaries. Kids like Martin paid overs to stay. As good as the free agent...

That is very generous praise. I recall him playing permanently back and being a deer in the headlights most of the time, not least giving away free kicks that killed us.
