    Non-Lions discussion 2023

If we have learned anything over the years it's that you take the player when he chooses your club rather than delaying for 12 months as things often change. Neale may not have wanted to come to us 12 months later.

Pretty crazy that our best young players always get this terrible injury - Rich early in his career - hipwood :( - rayner - will now :( cant recall if leunberger got one as well. Back in the day Richard Hadley too.

Very poorly umpired game, and literally wgat name it so close. Devastated about Will just not fair. Hoping dev gets a chance and makes the most of it. Hopefully Kiddys injury isn't serious as he was amazing out there and a class above.

Lachie Weller with another ACL. That 2017 trade period for GC was probs their worst of all time which says alot given their history. - pick 2 (Brayshaw junior) for Weller - foolish additional trade with west coast where they traded 4 second round picks for West Coast future 1st round pick...

Loved reading one of the posters say that Cam Rayner will commit to them and they will watch and laugh when they bend us over on it. How good

They must have assessed the market prior to adding pick, must not have been much interest so they bit. Unless they're completely incompetent.

Agreed Ben Long is not a great investment especially when you look at what they've ended up giving up to attract him, speaks of terrible management. Not sure why the AFL isn't in there negotiating on behalf of the suns, after its trade for West coasts first rounder for like 4 second rounders...

    Non-Lions discussion 2022

Ben long barely got a game in a very average St kilda team and never really stood out. Pre injury Bowes was great at the Suns. Right now they're effectively paying pick 7 pick 32 and bowes for long...doesn't seem to be right value does it

I wonder why Gold Coast are trading out Bowes for a salary dump and giving up big assets yet then paying overs for Ben Long? Ridiculous management of that club

I can't quite recall why he left? Just didn't get along with Leppa and was time to move on?

lol this is why its important to get the deals done when the players ask to be traded to you, Re Essendon and their bungling of the Dunkley deal. Really Dodoro should go

Review Elimination Final, 2022 - Brisbane Lions vs. Richmond

yes plenty of highs against us that didnt go. I even thought there were some rough calls against us for delierate over the boundary in the 1st quarter which gave them set shots, but when there was a reverse opportunity when the Richmond player visibly hand balled the ball into the goal was not...

Review Elimination Final, 2022 - Brisbane Lions vs. Richmond

Was at the game so maybe my view is a bit biased, what is everyones thoughts on Umpiring? I thought we got it pretty rough alot of the times? Maybe on the stat sheet free kick count might not look that bad but I felt like we didn't get the rub of the green on fairly impactful situations...

Agreed, guess he's there as a forward option, but pickett (rightly) ginnavan and ranking ( wrongly) appear to be locks. For the last spot think Butters or Rozee probs beat him out. Coleman hopefully is a lock

Kiddy Coleman and Cam Rayner being named in the Squad of Under 22 Top 22 players. Think Zac Bailey just misses out by 1 day which is a shame
