What? Like a home ground advantage???

    Preview Changes Vs Golden Toast

He looked ok in the practice matches because he played as a crumbing forward. He's completely lost as a winger

Opinion Dees V Dogs - Sunday MCG 1.00 PM

Bramble looked light years better in the official practice match vs the first scratch match. Hopefully it was understanding his role and now he's locked in

There is no world that Darcy gets the same offers as Naughton and Jamarra. He's played 7 games thus far and hasnt shown any ability to stay on the park. Naughton has a demonstrated track record and Jamarra has tracked exactly as you'd hope for a pick 1 key forward

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

I think you are 100% right and they still stuffed it up. Vegas was the weekend just gone. NRL will be playing in NSW and QLD this weekend (and Melbourne). So in an attempt to try to capture attention in NSW and QLD (which doesnt work because the NRL is playing games in those markets on the...

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

To be fair, if any team lost their 2 first choice key defenders they'd be exposed as well

Definitely a neat kick, but i'm not sure he makes really quick decisions and executes on them.

West's cleanliness and composure stood out from the parts i watched. Looks much improved

    NO TROLLS Angus Brayshaw retires

Thats a bogus argument. Contact sport by its nature is "unsafe". If the AFL and contact sport was looked at with the same lens as mining or construction, it would cease to exist tomorrow. Taking the field carries some (a lot?) of inherent risk of injury.

Yep they probably do... so why would that impact the highlights package that gets put together?

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

Do you really think Collingwood coahes are going to see a 4 second piece of play from JOD, completely out of context and come up with a new strategy on how to beat us?

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

Spot on. I'm pretty confident that Bont can carve up a half VFL team, would much prefer to see highlights of Sanders, Darcy, JOD, Bedendo

Hows the stitch up leaving in Poutler's turnover as a highlight! Who was number 30 on the black team?

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

Early in 2022 (i think) the mids basically operated in pairs. One of the pair would be at each centre bounce but there was often a different mix. The pairs were Bont / Macrae, Libba / Dunkley and Treloar / Smith. i think Treloar might have gotten injured early in the year and we went away from...

    Training 2024 Pre-season training

He was All Australian starting midfielder in 2021, he can't have been going too badly. He also made the 2022 squad

Rumour Future of the club (Bevo, board, assistant coaches, football department)

Johnno was a terriffic player, but he wasnt a great shot at goal. Not sure he'd be my pick

Opinion Is father-son access going to heavily dictate the next decade of premiers?

You might be stretching it by including Ebert and McIntosh

Opinion Is father-son access going to heavily dictate the next decade of premiers?

It muddies the water a bit to include Tom Mitchell, Rhyce Shaw (2012) and Nick Davis as they didnt win flags with the FS club.

Opinion Is father-son access going to heavily dictate the next decade of premiers?

It happens everywhere. The Dogs just drafted FS Jordan Croft, but his twin brother was lost to footy and plays volleyball. Nothing to do with being a northern or traditional football state

No - he is extremely outside. I don't think i've ever really seen him get a tough, contested possession. And that is ok, his role suits his strengths

Game Day LIVE - AFL 2023 Draftwatch for the WB

At pick 5 you take the best player available, i wouldn't read much into that. West has a 5(?) year head start on Sanders so he should be in line for Libba relief minutes before Sanders but who knows

Does Darcy play seniors in 2024?

With a relatively injury free run, i have no doubt he'll have overtaken Lobb by year end. I think he'll be pretty special next year

He'll go closer to 11 than 23. Consider we traded out pick 10, clubs would be confident we will match a bid from pick 10 onwards. Someone will pull the trigger in the low teens

From memory he was a pretty good set shot for goal wasnt he? (I'm not suggesting he would take that role)
