    Workshop Port Adelaide's perfect logo

Port Launching a one-season 150th Aniversary logo later today. One club one logo for both the Reserves team in the SANFL and the firsts in the AFL. the leak going around the 'net has a PA monogram on a beer can ( the launch is at a local Port Brewery

Society & Culture Terrible baby names

Some kid's names just seem to demonstrate a complete lack of education in the parents: the exavier(Xavier?) from earlier and the wahn (Juan?) I saw recently in Adelaide's Northern suburbs.

Ok. better because it is a lot neater and contained within a shield and thus would be easier use by the merch dept. and media organisations reporting on games. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sturt to relocate to Mount Barker?

I can’t see Sturt moving from Unley Oval given how hard they fought to get back there after their time away from their spiritual home and how much money they’ve invested in their facilities under the grandstand.

Portfolio AN AFL PYRAMID PART TWO; Reserves.

“East Coast Heat” sounds like a Netball or basketball team to me..not a footy club. There’s nothing wrong with Gold Coast Suns as a name( tonnes better than GWS Giants IMHO) I’d just say except their guernsey and visual branding has been woefully lazy since inception. I mean there’s pages of...

Not a Port fan but I don’t mind that. I’d probably put a white horizontal line above the teal line just to see how it works, but great concept I reckon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

They’re probably happy to have it bubble away under the surface as a ‘go to’ they can use on slow news days to keep the AFL in the conversation. Nothing much happening ( footy wise) during Spring Racing Carnival? Quick make some noise about reviving the National Reserves Comp.. that’ll give em...

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

Perhaps in the future for the SANFL it will be considered too much to have League team, Reserves u/19s and u16s? I think League team and u/18s would be enough to ensure the talent path to the AFL remains viable and sustainable.

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

Sometimes it appears that's how the AFL wants it.:(:( I wonder what type of event we need to happen for them to wake up to fact that would be not only terrible, but would harm the longterm viability of the elite AFL comp? A draft that is so shallow its embarassing?A traditional football state...

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

There’s something to be said for sure about living a less complicated existence. I get to go to as many Norwood away games as I feel like Even the trek to Noarlunga is just a ‘day trip’ with a packed lunch ;) Except for the continual barrage of AFL news in the local media, for the most part I...

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

Great Post. Some people like me also enjoy being part of a club where there are only 3-5,000 members and for the cost of an AFL season ticket($300) you can feel like you’re really contributing to a club that appreciates each and every membership dollar.. that’s never going to be on offer at AFL...

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

For those non South Australians this is why so many footy fans in Adelaide hate Port and its nothing to do with jealousy as they will tell you..This is the typical Port attitude. "we're alright so f*ck the rest of ya." You've lived down to my expectations. congrats.

What happens to the State Leagues with the return of the Reserves?

s**t attitude. The AFL has set themselves up as the governing body for footy in this country. Its up to them to come up with a Whole of footy plan(a Pyramid like the English Football League structure) that provides a structure for all parts of our game to be sustainable, strong, healthy and...

Moved Thread Collingwood V Port Adelaide Jumper Debate part2

Believe me I get what you're trying to say. Now that the Crows have been paying a large sum of money to play their reserves in the SANFL, the League has become used to it and suddenly removing that income would be a worry for the bean counters. I am incredibly passionate about the SANFL and I...

Moved Thread Collingwood V Port Adelaide Jumper Debate part2

This outcome would please a lot of SANFL diehards who claim the competition has been compromised by having AFL Reserves players running around against semi-pro players from the traditional SANFL clubs. Personally I would be happy to see them go. Apart from the money the Crows pay the SANFL every...
