The year prior to him getting injured he was superb. Was on the precipice of being a bona fide star. Some forget that year. Post injury he never got near that standard. His mobility was never the same unfortunately.
Don’t have to thank me. I’ve always maintained a soft spot for him. He is capable of playing at a good level albeit he won’t ever be an A grader. He just needs to play with that intensity he brought last Friday and keep it simple. Not be too cute with his agility.
True, but there’s only so many half forwards you can fit in a team.
Not sure Esava is a great example. He was in for J.Henry as really our only other tall defender other than SDK. We have a plethora of med forwards even without Rohan.
Going to be interesting to see how they do it assuming both O.Henry and Dempsey are fit and available. I love Rohan when he’s fit and in form. Was a critical piece for us in 22. But there’s only 22 spots and they are quickly being filled.
Probably not cheap enough. We wouldn’t want to be giving up anything significant. I’d only consider it if both Dangerfield and C.Guthrie retire. Which is v unlikely. Prefer to continue to add to our midfield stocks via the draft or with an under 24 player via trade.
Not sure they are “done” but they probably are both no longer automatic inclusions when fit. I expect both will likely retire at years end assuming that remains the case for the season.
Would be terribly unfair on Parfitt if he was dropped after that performance. Assuming all of Atkins, Bruhn and Duncan are available then I'd be dropping Knevitt and Mullin. Rest Tuohy who was serviceable but can make way.
Both Hawkins and Cameron will require management to get through the season. Even if not injured they will be rested. I can imagine a scenario where they are rested in consecutive weeks allowing Neale to play at least a couple of games in succession.
Against the undersized Hawks backline we may...
Larkey and M.Lewis show that you can draft KPF’s with lower picks but it’s a bit of a crapshoot. We still need to replenish our midfield group so it will require some excellent drafting and list management to get both done successfully.
Interesting selection quandary next round with presumably Atkins, Duncan, Bruhn and possibly Bowes all available. Tough to drop Parfitt after last night. Knevitt and Mullin clearly both go. Dangerfield is a possible loss with a hammy.
Nice position to be in.
No shock when you saw the size of his Dad in the rooms post match. Looked like he could ride the fav at Rosehill in race 7. As my wife’s grandmother used to say, “you can’t breed rats out of mice”.
