Few dark horse teams this year with a bit of unknown. Boga seems like they will cause some headaches throughout the season along with Nyah. Will be interesting to see how Swan Hill put it together with only a couple ins in Luke Phelan and Wes Sewell. They always manage to be there abouts. Just...
Seem to have had a shocking run with injuries, a number of hamstrings in particular to their bigger guys which tells us they are lacking conditioning. Good to see Stone's knee wasn't very serious as he was able to play on the weekend. Ron feels that come September, on a nice 20 degree Spring...
Appar
Apparently Moloney has a foot injury from the interleague game and sidelined for 8 weeks. So he would be due back in around 3-4 weeks i would say. Swan Hill will struggle to scrape into the 5 at this rate. Beasy, Foott, Moloney cant carry a team from the sideline. Young kids need to step...
Seasons shaping up to be quite interesting with a big challenge for 2nd-5th. Tyntynder seem to be the major improvers only losing by Kerang by a few goals on the weekend and currently holding down 3rd position on the ladder. Good on them for a big turn around.
See Nyah had 3 Cambell boys playing for them. I believe that is Matt 'flash' Cambell from North Melbourne. Can someone please confirm? And does anyone know how many games they will be playing with the Demons?
Koondrook have started well and had 2 8-point wins against Tooleybuc and Mallee Eagles. Dont see them sustaining their dominance but will be interesting when coming up against Kerang, Swan Hill and Woorinen. Picked up some handy players that play the right way by the sounds of it. But Ron did...
See some unlikely names been thrown in the interleague squad for CMFL. There has been a trend over the past few years of guys playing that are clearly not up to it, hence the lack of success. Unlikely names: Storer from Tyntynder, Barrett from Balranald. Although strong players at club level not...
Knights of columbus, good to see Cohuna have a win straight up after their max exodus. Thought boga would handle them ok with a few clearances from the Bendigo league.
Any word on Koondrooks rectruits? Feels like we have the same conversation every year with them, think they will finish top 5 but dont produce? With the word of a dominant ruckman and Rhys Healy, should be mid range..
Lets get this cracking said Ron. Anyone heard of any CMFL practice matches? Who looked strong/depleted? Ron saw the night series last Friday night, Tyntynder looked like a colts team that recruited some players from an elderly home, no disrespect. Nullawill beat boga convincingly which is also a...
Knights of columbus, few close calls on the weekend, Tyntynder just getting over Nyah in the last minute of the game and Kerang with a whopping 10 goal turn around last quarter against Woorinen.
Tyntynder cementing third spot which leaves Woorinen to play Mallee Eagles in the elimination final...
Great odens ravens! The blues would be feeling somewhat... blue?
Must have been a great performance by the eagles, but is this the wake up call the blues needed? Other teams may not be so intimidated by Kerang now, will be a very interesting finals series thats for sho.
Mmmm really good input on this forum soldier, not so classy, would appreciate if you kept your non-witty un-humorous comments to yourself next time.
On a more intelligent note, anyone care to have a stab at the jack betts medal so far? Rons top three so far would be M.Ianucci (Woorinen), M.Kelly...
Interesting round, good to see Nyah get up over Swan Hill, surely that puts Swan Hill out of the race for 4th and 5th spot.
Angus Grigg getting best on for Cohuna and kicking straight again, this fellow sounds very classy, i assume all the Cohuna lads are giving him wristys after the game to say...
Ron saw a clearance of Jarrod Molony go through to the tigers. A very classy player for De La Selle in the Vafa A grade, thought he hung the boots up. Will he be playing ones at tiger land, what are his connections out there?
Knights of Columbus, cohuna proved on the weekend to be a major flag contender. Be interesting to see how the match would have panned out if not on the rediculous paddock. Seems that the mid range will be a tussle with the likes of swans, dogs, eagles and the saints.
Rons tips for this week...
Rons tips.
Koondrook V Boga: Koondrook by 5 goals.
Cohuna V Woorinen: Cohuna by 5 goals.
Eagles V Balranald: Eagles by 15+ goals.
Nyah V Swan Hill: Swans by 7 goals.
Tooley V Kerang: Kerang by 10+ goals.
You stay classy.
Kerang had a hit out against Strath in the bfl and got a spanking. Seem to be quite slow and sloppy which is expected this time of year. Can see them having a dominant year under Troy. Will be hard to match.
You stay classy.
Sounds a bit stupid to Ron, quite immature actually. Ron heard a rumour he may be off to Sea Lake but that may just be jibberish. Dont get all antsy in your pantsy 'Guardian' and stop shooting the messenger. Hope Wes does leave so Russell and Gerard can drool over your bare white bum while...
Reports that Wes Pye is leaving Boga? If so, huge loss to the magpies on top of their near mass walk out which consists of majority of their top 5-7 players. Boga in strife early?
You stay classy.
Rons back.
Anyone heard much about Cohuna? Heard Jack Dean is off to Boort along with his brother, Sam, who plays for Woorinen.
Speaking of, a lot of talk whether or not their Melb players will be returning for 2013. Siciliano is over in New York searching for a job at the moment so doubt he...
Ah right your are bust a move, quit busting my balls. I must have one too many scotches. Dont quit your day job, you are far from classy.
An a good note, anyone know the interleague side picked for this weekend?
Ron's tipping Troy Coates for the Jack Betts Medal. Guys like Higgs and Coates will have a heavy tag every week if any coach is smart like Ron. If the tigers get up over cohuna this week, then Ron may have just under estimated those pig furry tractors. Will be certainly interesting.
Swan Hill...
Ron says pipe down chachi, you've won one game and your more excited then a squirrel on a trampoline. No one is impressed.
On another note, big win from the mallee eagles, would have to be their biggest win... ever?
And are Woorinen tigers being underestimated? Those rascals must have put...
