Slow Horses follows the books pretty well (except you can imagine almost smelling Gary Oldhams farts in the series)
Also first series of Reacher did justice to the book. Haven't got around to the second series yet!
You've got me there. No other team has done the fourpete.
At least I can console myself with the fact that I saw my team achieve a threepete.
Were your four in a row good games to watch? did you have problems getting tickets?
Just finished "Hidden Assets" S1 & 2. We enjoyed it.
Another "detective" story. Skips between Ireland and Belgium.
Story doesn't really finish at the end of S1, Need to watch S2 also
For those that don't mind subtitles "The Golden Hour" (Het Gouden Uur)!
From IMDB: A Dutch detective of Afghan descent, Mardik gets the information stating that his childhood friend Faysal is in the Netherlands. When a terrorist attack occurs the next day, Mardik suspects Faysal and starts to...
You seem to be indicating that your SIL may have mental issues!
If so, then my opinion is that you need to be very careful how you handle this situation.
You don’t want a confrontation to result in an exacerbation of mental health issues (real of perceived) which results in the rest of the...
Co-incidently just watch another series based on a Harlan Coben book "Safe"
After his teenage daughter goes missing, a widowed surgeon begins uncovering dark secrets of the people closest to him.
The Doctor is played by Michael C. Hall (Dexter)
Once again kept us guessing all the way through...
The Five
A mystery series created by author Harlan Coben. Jesse, a five-year-old boy, goes missing. Twenty years later, his DNA shows up at a crime scene.
English 10 part series.
Twists and turns all the way through. Had us guessing until the end!
Halfway through series 2 of "The Capture". Looking forward to tonight for the last 3 episodes.
Could have easily binged on the whole thing in one night!
However, don't watch this without watching series 1 first.
For those interested, IMDB summary of series 1 :
When a British soldier is charged...
Come to think of it, one of my sons gave us a voucher for a restaurant in the Dandenongs which was using redgum to smoke their meat.
Was good!
Persnally, I've always found that dry fruit tree wood has a much more pleasant smell to it. If you can get some give it a try!
I had a peach tree which...
Been using an Aldi "Hark" knock off for a number of years with good results.
Did 3 racks of short ribs yesterday which came out excellent!
I have always used (dry) fruit tree wood for smoking. The smoke is a bit more subtle than hickory or mesquite.
Never used oak before, in fact never even...
Another British drama the squeeze and I quite enjoyed is "Magpie Murders"
From IMDB: Editor Susan Ryeland gets drawn into a web of intrigue and murder when she receives Alan Conway's unfinished manuscript of an Atticus Pünd mystery.
There are two story lines with a lot of the actors playing in...
Hey All
Back in Nov 2019 I posted this in this thread.
This band was one of the acts booked to play in a “Heavy Metal” festival at te showgrounds early 2020 which was cancelled due to covid.
I was lucky enough to attend their second (and last) performance in Melbourne last night with 2 of my...
Highly recommend "Slow Horses" and "Reacher" (the Series)
Read the books before the series were produced.
Both series follow the books fairly well!
The one that I'm anticipating (not released here yet) is "The Gray Man", also an excellent book!
Unfortunately being released as a movie not a...
I find it ironic that Sheedy is coming out with this when he was the one who sent the drug squad to raid Hawthorn during the 1984 finals.
Will he now apologies to Hawthorn for that?
