The AFL tribunal? or Pane?
"This is one of those examples where it was possible for Wright to avoid forceful high contact and prevent injury," Pane said.
Is “it’s a collision sport, what else was he expected to do?” Enough of a defence?
Wright had eyes for the ball and adjusted for contact after he saw something in his peripheral vision. Hardly any malice in it.
This is not just about putting on some weight. He was getting more of the ball in his early years. I would have given him another week, although Sydney is a small ground, and maybe they don't have the space for the extra tall forward.
Hopefully he works hard in the 2s and works his way back in.
I never said I hope he goes badly, but he has been going badly. He has reached a point where he has more value off the field than on it. Hopefully I get proven wrong.
His subsequent work with indigenous players suggests he may have been less likely to have made comments. Although anything is possible.
I wonder what recorded evidence they might be able to find?
But it says an agreement has been reached with the First Nations players.
I think you can work out the 1-2. As a whole, the AFL community are united against racism in sport, there will, however, be a couple that are a bit slow to catch on. And also, it seems a couple that want to still be...
I think you're just looking for a reason to be upset. It has clearly been acknowledged. The AFL are also clearly trying to improve on the past mistakes.
What else did you want?
