I suppose given our recent history we should just be happy to get the 4 points.
But it's going to be a perfect evening and seeing the form of both sides, anything less than 50 a 50 point win would mean we haven't played near our best or that Melbourne thought the season proper started this week.
Hi guys, apologies if this has been covered already.
I'm trying to work out if I'm actually going to be able to go to a home game at Etihad with my flexi membership this season.
With almost the whole top level looking like it's for reserved seat members, what is the go here?
I'm supposed to...
Rabbitohs
Broncos
Sea Eagles
Bulldogs
Tigers (I think Melbourne should get the job done but I have to pray for the upset to win a tipping comp)
Raiders
Sharks
Eels
Could get 0/3 on Sunday, just hard to know who will turn up.
No Smedts or Bugg means I have to rely on Brandon Ellis with no cover.
Shiel out sucks, but I've got a full midfield and Magner on the pine.
The big O coming back means I could go in with Giles and Stephensen.
Smith and Kennedy can only be replaced by Dickson.
Carnage, but I think I can get...
Personally, I think it might be a week too early to start trading for the Bye. Players aren't going to stop getting injured, so I'm more likely to make 2 trades after round 9 or something like that.
But then again we're all experimenting with it this season.
Really unsure what to do about the big Ham.
Looking at it now, it's probably pointless copping any donuts for him when he and Giles both miss round 11. Of course, my next choice, Cox, is also out in round 11, so what should I do?
Do I dare take Paddy Ryder?
With Bartel pulling out I had to decide which 2 to choose out of
Coniglio (103), Magner (84) and Shiel (61) ..... So glad I gave the emergency badge to Shiel :)
Good week so far: 10/1001
Thompson 161
Franklin 140
Giles 129
Coniglio 103
Dangerfield 98
Smith, Kennedy, Bugg and Mohr just a little bit off what I would have liked with 76-67
After 6 weeks of starting Ellis on the field and Mohr on the bench I finally woke up.
Ellis starting as sub...
Have to trade Goodes out but have no idea to take in his place. So many to choose from who are all pretty much as much chop as each other.
Hopefully just the 1 trade for me this week.
Melbourne vs. Hawthorn - by 31
Adelaide vs. Geelong - by 8
GWS vs. Gold Coast - by 22
Richmond vs. Sydney - by 3
Essendon vs. West Coast - by 21
Brisbane vs. Collingwood - by 39
North Melbourne vs. Western Bulldogs - by 26
Fremantle vs. Port Adelaide - by 44
St Kilda vs. Carlton - by 18
Will be an interesting game, and even when the teams are named at 6:25 tonight, we still won't really know until Saturday night as I'm sure Crameri will get named, even if he doesn't eventually line up.
West Coast 6-0: Haven't played any of the teams that currently occupy the top 8, will lose...
If I was in your position, I'd probably bang my head on the desk.....:thumbsu:
But if you can't afford a 0 then I don't see any other option but to trade out Sandilands, even though he might come back next week.
Re: Round 6: Essendon vs Brisbane [05/05]
Of course you will. I know the Lions have more following here than Port, but I still can't see this game attracting more than 40,000, maybe 42,000.
Re: Teams V Brisbane - IN: Dempsey, Lovett-Murray, Colyer; OUT: Pears, Hibberd, Dell'Olio
It's a shame, but a good thing.
Colyer has earned the right to come straight back in, even if he might be named as our sub.
Davey has been better than the last couple of seasons and Jetta has been...
This week is a must win for me.
Last 2 weeks have been shocking, including my captaincy choice last week costing me again.
IN: Murphy, Goodes
OUT: Ablett, Fyfe
Giles is just Mr Consistent! :)
Bugg picked up another great score, unfortunately I chose Coniglio on the field over Shiel, and, oh wait a minute, no I didn't :)
My disappointment is just for Smith, but as the sub he didn't have much chance anyway :(
Big opportunity for the Roos, mind you there are another 2 'byes' still to come after this.
But surely without Ablett and Rischitelli, the Roos will win by over 100 points!
6/478...Including Dempsey, with a chance of Smedts tonight taking his place.
Can't take a trick with trades though. Brought in Carrazzo last week, then this week traded him to Michael Johnson who has been scoring 91-105 over 4 weeks and then scored 58 last night.....
Holding onto him you've already missed one price rise....whichever rookies you do have now are the ones you need to rise every week!
The earliest Ledger can rise in price is after round 6 given he's been left out again.....and his 17 points from round 2 is hardly a great building block.
