What happened to the rumors about an interstate GUN key forward committing to us before trade period even started.
Please don't say Stewart. Although i like this move he is by no means a GUN as yet and only just picked us.
If we take a future pick for Hibbo it should definitely be their first rounder.
Reasons.....
1. Recruiting a contracted player when you are well aware you have f" all to give for him is just Bullshit...
2. Next year Melbourne are expected to be better and therefor their second round pick would...
Maybe so but if he wanted to got to saints then he Sydney probably would have received pick 10.
You have to work with what is available sometimes.
There is no exact worth to any player....
This reminds me of Judd...
Great player and did everything he possibly could for Carlton but it was not enough to win them a flag.
Too many eggs - 1 Basket
See your logic but poor example....
Danger would have left as a free agent and they would have received nothing. Knew that Danger wanted to return home and knew the money was going to be huge. Got a return at least...
In all seriousness is it worth stuffing your cap for someone that has...
Wasnt the inside 50's very close with Geelong and Sydney but Geelong failed to kick a score and got belted.
That alone would have suggested that decent forwards are required to win finals. Not just midfielders....
Hoping for Doggies win tonight and then next weeks announcement that J Patton has asked for a Trade to Bomberland.
Pick 1 for Patton, Devon Smith and pick 15...
Go for it dodo.
It would seem that people are trying to put 2 & 2 together...
1. Patton has long rumoured to be considering coming back to Victoria
2. Toured Bulldogs facilities the year before they got boyd but did his knee and so no deal was done.
3. Bought a million dollar property in Richmond a little...
I agree in part with what you are saying.
BUT
I would take a team full of watson's over a team full of daniels though.
It should not be the only factor when drafting but it does need to be taken into account. Every side needs big strong bodied mids. There is no denying that. Hawks, Cats and...
Thats fair enough about McLuggage. You would probably know more than me about him.
When it comes to Playing styles though i still stand by a physical beast 9/10 times...
In saying that the next Pendles or Dal Santo might also be pretty handy :)
I reckon That deal for Patton is pretty good. Gives GWS free hit at best young kids in country and can use later picks for academy players.
My only worry is that i would love to get Brodie. I reckon he will be a GUN.
Parish would more than likely be inside with Brodie but give me Brodie anyday.
A big unit that is in there all day all day does not rely on others to have a good game.
From everything people are saying on here it would seem that Mcluggage relies alot on the guys doing the hard yards on the...
Lloyd was similar to Jaeger, Hogan, Jack Martin, Crouch...
They were all in the mini draft which is used for the start up clubs to have access to the best kids in the country in order to trade them for established players. Lloyd could never play for Fremantle unless we had traded him there down...
