I dont know who is injured or not but names missing from the team that played Ouyen who had played earlier this season were Matt Brown, Simon Brown, Wade Champion, Josh Charles, Jeremy Rowe, Daniel Harris and Scott Munro
Robins slaughtered them last year at Underbool as did Vallance. Arentz and Moncur wont be held as easily every time they play em. Sonny used to kick his bags too.
One gun capable of kicking a big bag makes it anyones flag I reckon.
Mallee League nearly sorted in my opinion. Ouyen have the best list, Beulah the best team. Ouyen favourites in my book. Hopetoun and Robins capable of an upset but battling Sea Lake for the prelim spot. WU, JR and WL can look to next season. All pretty obvious. Someone throw up some different...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
He showed up ...well held by Dingo most of the day. Knowles didnt play and was was sore in his last game too. Tough day at the office for Ouyen. conditions didnt help their smaller team of runners. Good effort by JR and would have taken a lot out of the legs of...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Well that was a great insight by me was it not??? It was not lol
So Ouyen or Beulah at Jeparit in a couple of weeks. Knowles has to play next week doesnt he?
Who goes out of the Ouyen team?
It looks like Beulah beat WU easily enough without Coomb or...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
There has been footy but no news!! Are Beulah a little nervous about Sonny hitting form and Brett Knowles being signed for Ouyen.
Sea Lake have got everyone back and look very competitive lately.
I think they could knockoff anyone in a one off final on any...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Looks like not much going on in the Mallee league!! Beulah looking alright for the flag to me, Ouyen too top heavy in the forward line for me.
Sea Lake hit by injuries, WL for the spoon although WU not that much better than 'em going by the scores.
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Dont want to get involved in this but I always thought Greyhound was a WU person, sorry Greyhound but if you tried to hide that I missed it!!
...and how come the results are not coming after your coach leaving?
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
I see on the Mallee League website results (the suspect from last week) didnt play today. I heard a few different stories during the last week including:
1. He is laying low after last week.
2. He has his own health issues after being caught up with by a JR...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
I didnt see what he got hit with, but it was the WU bloke chasing the ball carrier and the JR bloke going to lay a big shoulder on to shepherd. Is that in the play??
I thought it was close to where the ball was or why shepherd at all? If it was behind the...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Jeparit too good for W/U in the footy, but the game was a bit sour after a player was hit off the ball and lost teeth. Your not going too well when your own supporters are disgusted. interseted to see other opinions from closer witnesses.
Saw the game. saw...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
When teams are battling to get players for the twos, and you get your kids to fill in, you expect opposition teams to look after them a bit. Otherwise plenty of mums (and dads) out there will say stick your twos up your arse.
Twos has always been a tough...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Saw Walpeup Underbool on the weekend for the first time since last years finals and in their first game since Hill resigned/was pushed. Some points I thought were interesting:
1. WU skill levels were incredibly sh*t. Not sure Hill can be wholly blamed for poor...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Pretty sure you are right about Buelah or Ouyen. Heard Ouyen havent put there recruiting boots away yet either... have signed a guy who had a run at StKilda and played with their coach in Adelaide will play enough to qualify I heard. Happy to be corrected...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Thats interesting, there is now you and JarJar both saying you have a bit to do with the club and that you supported the coach. From what I hear from the people I know down there, you guys didnt say much in the lead up when it was hitting the fan. Better late...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
....like to know if you are an Underbool or even Mallee local, then your opinion would be respected as an alternative to all the one way traffic I am hearing.
But your December 09 comment of "Heard around the traps he is a pretty good coach & top bloke.."...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
Burdett got 3 weeks for last weeks effort. Anyone see it? I also heard he can still play interleague next week. Is that what the rules say can happen?
Also heard plenty about the unrest out Underbool way last Saturday, it includes a difference of opinion about...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
That's different altogether to umpiring being s**t. Goal umpires are, and always will be dedicated loyal locals. Benefit of the doubt on close ones over the post is proabably going to favour home teams... been happening forever everywhere. Its why they do a...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
From what I can make out, half the problem is the Adelaide boys were so good, reliable and consistent. SFL/MFL recruits aren't setting the world on fire but it also just goes to show how the Mallee comp is not a place to pick up loads of cash and expect to...
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
They get there share of publicity alright, but I'm not sure that the 17 people who read the Sunday Age is much publicity. Was talking to someone who said the Age contacted them to do the story, good luck to them. they'll need it the way they have gone so far....
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
How did all the new recruits go? Connick, Linday, Hill, Markham? Beulah had a big win who are the guns down that way or was it more the opposition not up to it?
Re: Mallee Football League Part 2
From the few times I saw em, Charles is a big ruckman, very dangerous forward, huge kick. Malinovsk is super fit, super quick ...can cut up a backline.
