They now geoip protect the files. Last year only the frontend detected your IP but you still had direct access to files. You either have have to use a proxy, tor or maybe vpngate with an Aussie exit server.

I can now confirm the TOR method above works as well. Slow but works.

If you see your IP on whatismyip it will not work. You need to use one that does not show your IP but I doubt you will find one. You probably have more chance of finding a page on the official afl site or bigpond that they forgot to geoip protect ;)

yeah I have done this in the past....the code is just a tiny javascript of about 5kb that will work in any browser or platform .... the problem is that 99.5% of people have no idea that all they need to do is download/extract & double click the file so I gave up doing this .... there are plenty...
