Past Dan Hannebery - traded 2018, to St Kilda for packet of Samboys (BBQ)

You must really hate Hannebery if you think Johnson showed more than him. Has to be one of the least controversial things I've ever said on this forum, that Hannebery was a lot better than Johnson

Past Dan Hannebery - traded 2018, to St Kilda for packet of Samboys (BBQ)

Us - kept Alex Johnson on the list for 6 years for 2 games, and he showed a lot less than Hannebery ever did. Same "sentimental reasons" line too.

Past Sam Naismith - delisted 2022

Why keep Nankervis or Cameron when you can have this guy lumbering around clunking 0.5 contested marks a game during the ~15% of the games he is actually fit to play? Delist.

List Mgmt. 2022 Draft and Trade Hypotheticals: Kinnear & Dalrymple - we march to no drum but our own!

They didn't invest heavily in him, they paid him the same salary that any of the other 17 clubs would gladly have paid if they had drafted him. And those 17 clubs also probably have better coaches and other facilities to invest in him. They should focus on being less of a pathetic shitshow so...

List Mgmt. 2022 Draft and Trade Hypotheticals: Kinnear & Dalrymple - we march to no drum but our own!

Why does he have poor character for wanting to leave a pathetic basketcase? Eminently sensible decision IMO. Players shouldn't receive a life sentence to your shitty club just because you drafted them. He's demanding better and good for him

We clearly need some help in winning the hard ball, can we pick up a top 3 centre clearance player as a free agent? You might think that's optimistic, but we gave one away last year so surely it is possible

    Player Watch #6 Logan McDonald

600k is a lot to pay for a development coach, frankly I would not be willing to pay that. If he is on that sort of money then he needs to play every week when fit and be a key figure in attack.

    Player Watch #24 Dane Rampe

Very disappointing that after playing in the heartbreaks of 2014 and 2016, and knowing what the day requires, he didn't have what it took to get the team up for a grand final. Hopefully the lessons not learned from the 2 grand finals will be learned from the 3rd. If you're a "its the coach not...

Game Day 2022 Non-Swans Game Day

I agree with you, it is unlikely horse would have used him to full effect. However it is indisputable that he is an elite midfielder when used correctly. #1 for centre clearances, #2 for clearances, #6 for effective disposals, plus #25 for tackles. The only thing he doesn't do is kick goals...

Game Day 2022 Non-Swans Game Day

The Swans are ranked 13th in the league for centre clearance differential. Losing the ball out of the middle has been one of our biggest weaknesses. Who is the #1 centre clearance player in the league? George Hewett.

Hawthorn has beaten Geelong, Port, and now Brisbane, while getting within 1 point of Carlton. They also got closer to Melbourne than anyone else so far. While inconsistent, they're a very promising young team.

When you are getting flogged 88-57 in contested possessions because you are soft and 2nd to the ball, you're likely to concede more free kicks yeah.
