I don't know. Try finding a good coffee throughout Asian or American cities, in comparison. It's nigh on impossible.
Also, I feel coffee prices have fallen a bit in the city (like $4 to $3.50 at least) in more places.
Thank you for your input. I was not alive at the time so missed these players.
It's interesting nonetheless. My Dad and his friends (Collingwoood and Carlton supporters who grew up in Melbourne) said that nobody was like him. Played in weak teams and did it all. Had supposedly better kicking...
I know many people who have said that after seeing live and if they could only pick one, the best player they had ever seen was Bobby Skilton.
Seems he's been forgotten on BF.
I asked a group of oldies (i.e. my Dad and his friends) to tell me who was the best player they had ever seen. Most of the guys happened to have grown up in Victoria so followed the VFL (Carlton and Collingwood supporters). They all very convinced said that Skilton was by far the best. Make of...
I'm the sort of person in the crowd who just watches and sometimes claps/cheers. I personally don't know why sane people's personalities change once they're at the footy - even from in my family. I see a lot of craziness even from parents at junior games. Plus I used to be an umpire through high...
As much as I don't disagree with you about the Subiaco crowd (I guess drunk on a Friday night), I went to a Carlton game in Melbourne a couple of years back (my cousins there are Carlton fans) and thought the Carlton supporters were far worse, like hate chants against your own players. So you...
Hale overall is far better for sport (and academically too) than Aquinas but Aquinas has had so many more individuals go on to become professionals (Kerr, Lynch, Fyfe, Yeo, Bell, Black).

Sydney have a lot of low centre of gravity nuggets (Jack, Parker, Hannebery) who were a bit too strong around the stoppages (especially when it was raining). Surprised how small Redden looked compared to them.
I was watching some old footage from the 1970s (my Dad is a Carlton fan so that's about all he has to look back on) and the quality of the umpiring with bouncing, decision making, control of the game, and signalling was so bad it was funny. Granted there was only one of them though. The umpiring...
This is a pretty good post and far more accurately reflects why this term had been used in this context for some time. If it was blatantly racist as many are saying in this forum, then there would be no meaning for it to be picked up by a football team.
From a historical perspective too, Yellow...
What do you want them to do all day?
During a regular week of the season they will do a game review session, training sessions with remedial massages, new round preview sessions, potential travel, game, recovery, potentially a trip to the tribunal. This is all done in between their normal job.
The discrepancy may just be due to nerves. I've heard many past players say many thoughts go through your mind when taking set shots whilst kicking in general play is pretty instinctive.
