We all want to be talking about Rayner being a consistently good player. He had a very impactful game last night and as fans we should expect to see at a minimum 80% of this performance each week. Anyone who gets on the "I told you train" doesn't understand what cost us at the big dance.
I find it hard to believe that anyone would think a number of long term posters are out to get Rayner. We all see the weapons, we all see the potential, we just don't see the workrate and the want to be a very good afl player. Tonight I saw it, but i also saw him tire as the game went on...
Just loved the team first attitude, that was a one percenter clinic by our boys. Blocks, shepherds, smothers, tackles, chases, close down pressure and hands in to disrupt the play were the best i've ever seen from our team.
Rayner and Berry deserve a pat on the back for their efforts...
My point is less about Gardiner and more about the role and team balance. I don't see Rayner as capable of being a midfielder and therefore look at him as the 3rd tall option. This role is currently being filled by Gardiner. It just feels like our team balance is out.
It's a line in the sand game, i only have 2 words that sum this up - Coopers Sparkling. 3 tallies of the red labelled dynamite and a season defining match. What could go wrong!
Rayner only has 9 plus 20 disposal games out of 116 AFL appearances. I feel for the young bloke, at no stage has he been afforded the opportunity to run around in the 2s and get 30 plus for a month, grab some monster marks and build his decision making/confidence. From day dot he was thrown in...
Papering over cracks. Deadset, Gardiner, unless he replaces Payne or Hipwood, Fagan needs to bite the bullet and keep him out of the team. We need another runner through the midfield. Rayner isn't a midfielder's a-hole, he is the 3rd tall forward, taking Gardiner's spot. Starcevich is all...
Just feels like we have gone back to the well only to find the well is a little too dry at the moment. There was a need to change some things over the off season. The only change seemed to be experimenting with Gardiner in the forward line. Our midfield is shallow and slow, there was no...
As stadium goes, the Gabba compares well to all the stadiums in Australia i have watched sport at. The only difference being our food options are s**t. #NEWCATERERS
We need a fit and firing Jarrod Berry as part of our midfield rotation. He isn't a winger, he has been serviceable on the wing. He looked like the best player in the competition last year when he was on Oliver and toweled up Melbourne.
Watched every game this year. There is no way Rayner had a better year than Lester. i love Fages, Rayner is his blind spot, we all have them. Hopefully a new assistant coach will be able to challenge how regularly Rayner brings his best footy. Deadset, Cam should come back ripped and angry...
I was at the gf like many, it was an awesome game. We clearly were not fit enough. Need to elevate training, our special talent and the Pies inaccurate kicking kept us in the game. Time to take our fitness to the next level
McInerney is so important on Saturday. He needs to get the ball moving forward, this will nullify De Goey's ability to exit the front of the stoppage and creating scoring chaos. The work of McCarthy, Rayner and Cameron to prevent Crisp and Daicos to handball recieve out the back of the...
Q55 here- never been happier- thanks for posting the find your seat function. Don't mind a birds eye view- just so pumped to be going with my family. First ever gf- longtime supporter
Just got 1795 bucks deducted from my account i assume i get the 6 adult tickets and the 1 concession. Crazy question- where do i find the tickets? What platform?
3KZ respectfully, from one old poster to another, have another look at the game, the pressure Dev put on was immense. He was responsible for a significant number of turnovers. I agree we need him better with the footy in hand. Lyons can't apply that type of pressure.
