Honestly who gives a * about AA selection. It’s not like it’s a global sport where you represent your country on the field.
The main thing that matters for him is his premiership medallions he has at home and the plaudits he has in-house at Tigerland.
Positives:
Balta and Vlos has tremendous games.
Lynch competed well considering where he was coming from, made an impact at contests and had way more TOG than we would’ve hoped. Hopefully he hasn’t pulled up too sore.
Hopper had a great first half but felt like he faded.
Our forward line...
Huge effort from the boys effectively having 2 on the bench since half time with a few underdone players like Lynch.
If we put in that sort of effort we will cause a boil over or two this year.
Absolutely shattered for the lad.
Super promising young KPD and would’ve had the most frustrating season ever last year with the persistent hammy issues.
Thoughts are with him and hope his injury as good as it can be :'(
Whichever way you look at it Powelltown have done a great job of having a functioning football netball club for as long as they have with their compliment of sides in both codes.
They remind me of the now defunct Forrest FNC down the Otways who didn’t struggle on field and had recent success...
Didn’t watch the entire whole game but who did we have on Rowell at stoppages?
Absolutely criminal to allow someone to do as they please with 20 clearances let alone half that amount. Allowing someone to take that much of the piss shows we don’t have anyone whose willing to sacrifice their game...
Not fussed but do find it amusing.
Not a bad gig for Cotchin.
Can get a holiday for the family during school holiday break and if they have a good season it’s another tick on his resume.
How will Brisflogs like Zorko react to a great leader and great person who will be telling them to be...
Honestly didn’t even realise the first games were this week until someone told me last night.
Has anyone else felt like it’s been a subdued build up to the season?
Or maybe it’s just me and I block out all the pre season BS.
Just my observations and points from what I’m hearing around the traps at the start of 2024
-Due to housing prices, rising interest rates and cost of living. Most families need 2 incomes to sustain mortgage repayments or sustain their lifestyle choices whether it be schooling, where they live...
A few ex Geelong players all say he honestly could’ve been one of footballs greats if he liked Football let alone had the motivation to work towards anywhere near his full potential.
Putin might have strong aspirations but does anyone else feel like he’d be getting completely mislead information from those below him?
Can just picture a whole bunch of fearful yes men saying the SMO is gaining momentum and completely downplaying the difficulties they are experiencing.
They’d...
That is completely irresponsible spending.
If they had over 100 staff and the content produced was nothing special the whole organisation is clearly bloated and needed to be stripped right back.
The game here sure knows how to shoot itself in the foot, could’ve spent the money on a thousand...
Was that the game a Hawks player slammed either Wayne Campbell or Knights into the fence after a tackle?
I seem to recall it fired the team up and sparked a comeback.
Just my opinion but Goodwin has gone O/S a lot and then gone back to Adelaide wheras Jmac hasn’t tried to test himself overseas for a number of years now
If Stack had half his head still screwed on he’d still be on an AFL list.
Just look at someone like Stengle who had ****ed up and had now redeemed himself to be one of the best small forwards in the comp.
I think our finals losses in the last decade were the worst.
When it’s a H&A, at least you have next week to redeem yourself as a club and a poor performance can be put aside.
The Carlton EF loss certainly stood out as extremely painful. Firstly we had every chance to finish top 4 and at least...
The first article doesn’t work unless you’re a subscriber but I specifically recall WU shifting a planned fixture away from Geelong to Whitten Oval to save money.
Ironically the second article I found with WU’s indecisiveness shows how the Geelong region would also hesitate in backing a side...
Usually I’d say yes but they’ve treated the Geelong public like s**t once they scheduled games there and then shifted them to places like Footscray.
Not ideal when people may have already bought tickets or season tickets based on this.
I knew WU’s promise of a ‘shovel ready’ bid was a lie like the other 95% of punters and the deadline of 2 years was always a cop out.
However the sooner they can park their asses at the 5,000 training facility in Tarneit the better. Let’s be honest that’s the ceiling of their demand atm so at...
