In terms of gameplan, consider this; We comfortably beat Dogs twice and also effectively implemented a gameplan to account for Hawks at the business end... However, we obviously got smashed by Swans twice who play a similar contested style, but focussing on bigger midfield crunch and less...
Just out of interest....what did pick 24 net in the last 10 years? Would give a pretty clear indication of its worth

Just on list space
Arent we already 2 spots short on senior list, before we even take into account Enright, Kersten and maybe Vardy?
Then, we have also delisted 5 rookies....so without acting on anything further, that is 10 spots to fill.
Believe we have cattle, the fact we beat the reigning...
The big thing that stands out about both Sydney and Bulldogs is the amazing skills in congestion.
Fair enough, both have pressure on another level, but the attacking ability of both midfields to funnel the ball out of congestion to outside line breakers is unparralelled. This is the new...
This year was the biggest chance, but still hold hope for 2017.
We have a framework to build upon, but we do need to take a deep breath and make some tough decisions.
I would actually start at Coaching/Gameplan before moving into Personnel. Scott put a blueprint together and It doesnt look to...
Bartel also made the first goal of the game by just positioning himself off the immediate contest and being clean under pressure. Anyway, enough on Bartel, he clearly wont be dropped.
As for Bews v Ruggles....just think.its time to pull the trigger. Bews is aggressive in trying to break the...
Its all well and good to say...but that would be a huge role of the dice.
Bartels footy IQ is enormous, he knows how.to play his role and I suspect he now knows his limitations.
Motlop almost cost us the game the other night by lack of footy smarts, Bartel stood up when required. Suggesting...
Bartel? Big moment player who again created something when required. In Kerstens absence, plays defensive forward post as good as anyone.
Was BoG against crows last time and is definitely a required hard body against the Swans.
Ruggles can and should be replaced by Bews. Think Jed just...
Hawkins thrives in the rain.
If the ball is bombed in, no better spearhead to stand under it and bring the ball to ground then TBone....look at his contested stats.
If we get Rain, will be better for our contested ball winners in Selwood x 2, Bartel, Caddy, Menengola and of course...
Like Kolo to Gunstan....he is a good shutdown Defender already Kolo and perfect attributes to do the job on Gunstan.
Hendo will come back as true CHB, but will be moved in patches through the forward line.
Scooter and Guthrie rotate off half back flank and combined with Ruggles and Enright...
Granted. The obvious difference between the two sides is the 08 loss.....switch the that result and the conversation is remarkably different.
Still...if we get up this year, that is 4 cups of our own and an entirely new conversation starts.

His partner had premature twins a month ago. He is having time off to help with this. Not hard to fathom.
Will be a chance to play VFL finals if Cats get through elimination against bombers and contrary to other opinions played some pretty good footy up forward in the 2s.
Will get another...
Wasnt the first time Matthews did something dirty.
Never took much ownership of it either....just brushed it off. Dog act and the absolute instigator of a bitter rivalry.
Mind you, Hodge doesnt mind throwing an elbow or knee in every now and then....and of course you have Mitchell and Lewis...
Just so people have it straight.
Hawks v Cats rivalry started in 85' when Leigh Matthews decided to king hit Nevil Bruns.
He remains to this day, the only VFL/AFL player charged and convicted of assault for an onfield incident.
He would be put in jail for such a hit if out on the street...
Bring it the Truck on.....never been better placed to smash the Dawks. Clearly the weakest of the top 4 sides at the moment

Hawthorn end up with a double chance home final on the basis of 5 critical umpiring decisions that went there way throughout the year.
Clearly the weakest of the top 6 teams at the moment though, so Cats should be happy to take them on.

Against the Hawks, this would be perfect.
Right balance of talls and inside mids....which West Coast demonstrated is the key to crushing Hawthorn.

What an awesome position to be in.
So much depth in all positions to choose from.
Obviously, Scooter and Hendo are immediate inclusions, but you have Cocky, Lang, Murdoch, GHS, Kersten and even KPP depth in Vardy and Clarke to refer to.
Injuries can be covered....previous finals series have...
Wouldnt even give it a second thought. Footy just needs to take a backseat for a period of time.
He will be back. In my opinion, should be offered another year.

No.
He and his partner had premature twins.
Life comes before footy, he will be back, but most likely as a 2s player only this year.

Blicavs has been ordinary, totally agree...there are countless examples of him turning the ball over, hesitating on traffic and missing key plays. He would be in the drop zone.
Bartel? Cmon....where is the actual evidence of poor performance. He hasnt coughed the ball up under no pressure...
Bartel has had a very good season. I dont know what games others have been watching, but the ones I have seen has him as a regular contributor who consistently uses the ball well and provides a strong contested option around the ground.
He can pinch hit in any number of positions and based...
