Tredrea doesn’t get the respect he deserves. I acknowledge he didn’t have the longevity of Riewoldt and Pavlich. Realistically though his body was completely shot at 27. I often wonder if he just retired then if things would be viewed slightly differently now.
This is an apples and oranges argument anyway. One “Hasn’t developed” yet because it’s always hard to break into Horse’s Swans, and the other appears to have “regressed” because he plays for Port Power, the club who are clearly league-worst for player development. I feel slightly concerned for...
Im taking Rozee over any of them including Butters. Not too worried about Rozee and Butters poor games against GWS, it was a Ken Hinkley Port side in an elimination game. Everyone was poor, as you would expect.
I agree with the call that the Crows have a more even spread of talent distributed across the field. They’ve played Butts, Murray and now Macalaney and stuck with them. Our key defensive post is old and flimsy and they are all players we’ve brought in from other clubs, which looks set to...
Pretty much bang on. A fish rots at the head. People think it’s pure coincidence that virtually every player in the side looks a shell of what they are capable of in a final?
Hartlett easily the 2nd most talented behind Dusty. Voting for him wasn’t at all crazy. Body was made of glass though and evidently didn’t have the drive Shuey and Ziebell had.
Bringing in Lycett was always a horrendous piece of list management.
Retaining an aging Ryder for a few extra years would have even been a better idea.
Hopefully this isn’t how it ends for Chad. Was poorly treated by Port and not sure that he has ever fully recovered mentally. Only shown glimpses of his best at the Hawks. Hopefully things go well with his rehab and he gets back.
I’m not saying that I don’t love Trav and appreciate everything that he’s done while here. My point was more that even someone with his level of dedication can been infected with “loser” while being here. More an indictment on the club than him.
Just because we’ve lost our way over the past decade or so doesn’t mean our club is anywhere near the level of shitness of North. That’s probably the more point.
Lost respect for him after his Red Bull propaganda piece doco. There was a lot of “winning isnt everything” blah blah blah in that. Not hard to see why the club is in the state it’s in.
I agree with majority of what you said. Not sure about the coaches not caring one though. I think majority of them do take the responsibility of representing a club and community to heart. I don’t see that with Hinkley at all.
Yes the board are to blame. No one would argue with that. But people are allowed to be frustrated at a guy and his family turning the club into their nest egg for a decade plus. Ken Hinkley doesn’t care about Port Adelaide. It’s as simple as that.
