Michael wood is excellent 1:1 with a slight frame. Knock on him is he going to be able to bulk up. Good skills and massively rated at the lions. 'He is fyfe like'.....

I am sure in part what you have asserted is true. The guy was not proclaiming he new the draft, rather with respect to Freo McCarthy was unlikely due to high levels of interest of clubs with earlier picks and there had been a lot of interest in acres. That's about it.

McCarthy likely to be gone unfortunately. He rates Acres highly

Inside Football 2013 - Mock Draft

Brissie are very keen on him. As you guys have mentioned it does not seem to be a needs based selection, nor a best pick (if you go by the guys on the board). He will not get by our pick so I guess they may be prepared to reach and hope to get mids with their 20's picks.

FWIW I have had some word that Brissie are very keen on McCarthy and Acres is a good chance for us now. Source is a player manager

Name the KPF/KPD you'd like us to get with our first pick

Given they just picked up 2 kpf's in trade/zone pre-selection I'm not sure they need a 3rd as a 'reach' when they need all bases covered.

Chris thanks for your insight as always. You seem to have Marsh higher than others. His athletic capabilities sound amazing but my qu's relate to his marking ability and 2nd efforts. Can he be a hit-up target and does he have a defensive game? Cheers

Name the KPF/KPD you'd like us to get with our first pick

Looks like Cartons pick at 13 would be the biggest risk for McCarthy, I think Collingwood would be looking at the midfield and half forward flank. Just a guess.

Essendon Offseason 2013 - Annual Gumbleton Trade Talk

Can't see him accepting another 1 yr contract with the Dons. He showed loyalty last year and now he wants to play (if his body lets him!) don't want psd but can't not see 33 being involved. Mellington would be a good get, we are happy to keep him I gather.

If we get Gumby do we we hope for McCarthy with 16? Given next years draft has much better depth with KPP's can we wait and go speculative tall with someone like Conlon late.

Conners = reasonable in this situation. Now third round still keeps us putting pressure on WC re Yeo; opportunity to pick upgrade with Viv (not that I want him to go but moving to the start of the 2nd round sounds ok in this draft) and Mello; getting a KPP back up and getting out of the main...

As much as we love Fyfe, 1 and 4 would be enough to open the premiership window for some time to come. Bondy, give me time to think.

Off-field issues have been rumoured for some time - on paper would be a match for us, not sure we want the baggage. Could be a beast of a player but has pretty well under-performed since being drafted. Being at the Dees over recent times could not assist with anyone's development. Now there...
