Opinion Round 21 Changes vs. Hawthorn

Spangher and Schoenmakers imo with Hale and Mcevoy getting down there as well, Bruest and Puopolo to play their normal roles although i would think there is going to be a heavy focus on Bruest being the 1 major player up forward for us. We will hopefully from a hawks perspective see the benefits...

Opinion Round 21 Changes vs. Hawthorn

Yep, would probably come back via BH under normal circumstances i would think, we will rush him back though as we basically have Hale and Schoenmakers as our Key forwards this week. Need the flexibility of throwing Spangher up there when needed so Lake has to play.

Opinion Round 21 Changes vs. Hawthorn

We dont risk another week if we do appeal, would be bizarre if we didn't considering we will have a makeshift forward line without 3 of our guns up there against a fellow top 4 rival. I dare say if Gunstan was available and Rioli we wouldn't appeal. You might see Brian Lake at FF next weekend.

    Joe Hockey, asset or liability?

Hockey loves getting on the defensive and doesn't like being criticized does he? They have been concocting bull crap excuses and explanations ever since they released the budget knowing full well how diabolical it is. Hey Joe you can spin it anyway you like ie claiming lower income earners will...

No Oppo Supporters General AFL and other clubs discussion thread. **Opposition fans not welcome**

How good was that level when we piled on 7 goals in the 3rd qtr?, it must be an insanely high level that we have to get to. Its laughable that the media still think they are the team to beat really. Going on about injuries to key players last week and not playing well and all that jazz, they...

    Most annoying celebrities

Garry Lyon doesn't give the plebs the time of day when out in public, seems like a geniunely good bloke on TV but from all reports is far from that when the cameras are off.

Who is your least favourite celebrity?

People don't seem to get the Capper at all, his whole persona takes the piss, sure he probably is full of himself but he exaggerates it to boost his profile. I have heard from a few people that the guy is actually not a bad bloke, dont just see him for what he portrays.

Buddy splits with his manager Liam Pickering

Buddy is nothing more than a brand now, he and Jesinta want to be the aussie Posh and Becks by the sounds of it or more to the point Jesinta wants to be known as that. Does Buddy get a say in anything or is Jesinta making the decisions for him?. Not that he even cares what people think. he can...

Preview Hawks vs $wans - Changes & Discussion. Light refreshments and Cola being served.

You would have to think that someone in the backline who doesn't normally play tall will have to on satday night, I would have gone for Lithers but with Duryea out he will take Mcglynn or Cunningham i believe instead. Stratts will go to either Reid or Goodes imo, the smoky in the pack is Hodgey...

Hawks v Sydney Round 18: Grand Final Preview

All the indicators suggest the hawks are putting alot of energy into this match, you could call it season defining for us in a way. Gibson and Hill both rested so they are cherry ripe for this game. I would think the "just doing enough" way we have won games this year will not cut it Saturday...

Hawks v Sydney Round 18: Grand Final Preview

Your forgetting the fact we had 3 of our starting mids not playing, which is why you gained the ascendancy in there to begin with so you could have your 30 shots on goal.

    I don't hate Collingwood

Sums it up here, it's the "were better and more important than everyone else" attitude, they should worry about being a successful club instead blowing smokes up eachother's butts about being the next Manchester United and being as rich as Clive Palmer. Scoreboard is were it matters.

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

We could possibly throw Billy Hartung into the mix next weekend for the extra run and pace if we think he is ready for a game like this. Has similar attributes to Hill just not as advanced in his development. The 2 of them won us the game against GWS with the spark and run they provided, bit...

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

Hill is set apart from alot of those players because he is super fit, If you have watched any hawks games this year you will notice Hill is doing alot of his damage to the opposition in 2nd halfs and especially last qtrs. He backs his fitness to outlast and break down his opponent over the...

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

You would think so, the only guy Schoey actually goes alright against on a regular basis. They both have similar body types and play a similar way and their both about the same age so its understandable.

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

Simpkin did well on the wing last week, has decent pace and provided good run, he isn't Hill though. We need relentless gut running all game and we have 2 of the best in the game in Hill and Smith, they must have big games for us to be in to win it.

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

Probably Dureya, Ben Ross will go out for Hill if he is right to go. Wont be many more changes, if we had Lake available Schoenmakers would have played forward and that would be the only change to the current setup.

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

We have the weakest defence for obvious reasons, our best group back there haven't played together consistently all year basically. We have won games purely because of the strength of our forward line this year, covering up for the deficiencies we have because of injured personnal. The Sydney...

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

IMO we are 3-4 weeks away from being near our peak form with players coming back in and finding there way again, not ready to beat you guys right now but we will wait and see what happens.

Preview Round 18 Preview: Sydney Swans vs Hawks (Combined match talk and banter thread)

Buddy will be the difference, we know that better than anyone. Gibson may be back but will not be ready to sufficiently curtail his influence, Lake should watch this game and be even more ticked off with his behavior. The last thing our team needs right now is brain fades from a key defender...

Game Day Adelaide v Hawthorn, 7.50pm at Adelaide Oval

I would think the rain may play to our advantage in nullifying your forwards, our ability in the rain is better than people think, we mauled the suns 2 weeks ago and im pretty sure we have won more than we have lost in the rain this year. Hodge and Mitchell will revel in the conditions, so will...

Game Day Adelaide v Hawthorn, 7.50pm at Adelaide Oval

Id suggest the hawks have equally as much to play for, we are in a precarious position of a loss resulting in possibly losing our spot in the top 4. The media has been hounding us about our chances this year, pretty much writing us off despite our lofty position, good chance we will come out and...

    Brian Lake

His other arm was on his collarbone to begin with, id say he was pressing down on it which prompted the Petrie reaction. As is said before the precedence has been set for future incidents such as this.

    Brian Lake

Yeah in your own mind, must go with being a Geelong supporter. Petrie could have done nothing, do you really think Lake would have started choking him? or said to him "get off i can't breathe" even if that wasn't true. Lake isn't a complete animal and would have relented had Petrie not engaged...

Well played, As to the other bolded part why am i even bothering anymore?, Your going off on a different tangent to my argument continuously, where a claw or gouge registers on the severity scale is beside the point, as i have stated many times it is not the only alternative to someone lying on...
