Feeling for the Eagles. Fact is Taty, Eagles, Moyston and Great Western can’t all be sustained by Ararat. Players just move between clubs and often to whoever is going well or offering coin. Moyston and Eagles getting flogged. Changes are coming in the South West.
I have always thought Ashby has something to offer and will develop into a decent player. Ashby, J Merret, Edwards, Browne and Laverde should be left in the team for the rest of the year. What great development for 2016. Langford should play a few more with Dalgeish.
Sliding doors. Had Dank and the Weapon never been employed, we probably play finals every year that Hird coached. Also probably made a prelim. Hird move would have been a good one. Anyway, if Hird is not the coach who is in 2016? Adelaide and Carlton looking for a coach, so how long do they wait...
Browne should come in in the next couple of weeks and play the rest of the year. Must be in our best side next year! Where is Howlett? Is someone out of the 1s?
McKenna has really go something. We must remember he has only played about 10-12 games of Aussie rules. There is some talent and more importantly pace in the twos. Play our possible 2016 side, all the youngsters, in the last few rounds. All the retirees in the last game V Collingwood.
Kommer is playing so well. Browne doing well too. Dalgeish started well, but has faded. Pears also started well. Ambrose doing his job. McKenna has enormous upside. Does some very impressive things for someone new to football. The 2s are very efficeint. Plenty of depth for the future. With some...
Time for some more list management. I am interested in what our side will look like in the next few years. Obviously it's hard to predict trades and how quickly our draft picks will come along. Good to be back in the draft!
B: Baguely Hooker Gwilt
HB: Goddard Hurley Gleeson
C: Hibberd Hepell Zaka
HF: Jobe McKernan Z Merret
F: J Merret Joe D Winderlich
R: Giles Stanton Kav
Int: ? ? ? Laverde (sub)
What to do with the list below? Would like to see some more yongsters, but go a feeling it's going to...
Boy I am glad some of the people posting on this forum are not involved in drafting at Essendon for 2015. Some terrible names mentioned as possible recruits. Would not improve our list at ALL.
Agree there are some list 'cloggers', and I am sure this will be dealt with at the end of the year and...
Clunes looking at their options. Fair enough. Leagues have changed forever and a day, and will continue to. There will always be top clubs, and struggling clubs. The LPFL clubs lists were much stronger in the old LPFL. The old LPFL teams would flog the current LPFL sides ATM. If that makes...
Barr, Jones, Lamont, Dunn, Robertson...Only predictions. Always hard to tell in this comp, only takes 4-5 players to push a side up or down. It will be very close and competitive amongst a lot of sides, which is good for the comp.
Ladder prediction:
Tatyoon-recruited very well.
Moyston-still a very good list.
Hawkesdale-still amongst it. Roach a good inclusion.
Penshurst-a couple of very good inclusions.
Lismore/Derri-steady improvement to continue.
Glenthompson-on the improve.
Lake Bolac-competitive.
SMW Rovers-lost a...
Smythesdale should have probably just fielded a competitive reserves side, like Kyneton did in the BFL last year. Have a competitive junior arm, just paying the price for poor decisions and culture over previous 10 years. Their old LPFL senior sides would beat the current side by 30 goals. Not...
Leagues have changed and evolved ever since the first football was kicked. Football will continue on in Ballarat and for the Eastern clubs and everyone will eventually move on. Super Goldfields League with Bendigo and Ballarat is a good concept. Happens with Ballarat and Geelong in the bowls.
Hawkesdale picked-up 3 more players from Russel's Creek.
Worndoo's coach is Ross Taylor, first year at the club last year, and they have picked up Heath Maloney from the Hampden league.
Ararat have some very good inclusions, players returing from long term injuries, players returning to the club...
Coaches and news?
Bolac: J Gilbert, what happened to Wilco after taking them to a premiership?
Ararat Eagles: No Stasse, coach? Recruited any?
Rovers: no Cahir, coach? Marshall returning from Beaufort and Geary from Terang.
Taty building again, Williamson from Ararat and Cameron back, as...
2014 Coaches:
Glenthompson: Bernie Porter
Great Western: Thomas
Pehshurst: Justin Eales?
SMW: Rhys Cahir?
Lake Bolac: Willcox, or Joe Gilbert?
Tatyonn: Blanford and Cameron-returning with a few players
Ararat Eagles: Nathan Wymess?
Moyston: Trent Fiscillini
Caramut: Jones or Lehmann...
Can anyone give an update on the Stasse situation at the Eagles? You never know what you are going to get with Stasse.
On the 3 occasions (Maddex, Bell and Stasse) got some decent players to the club and looked like building a very good side, the following year everyone leaves. Some great...
Okay, only about a week out now. How about some updates on prac matches that have been played?
Let's have a go at the ladder. Pretty hard without knowing the quality of all ins and outs, but need to get something happening on the forum. Should be a competitive year in the MDFL, with the bottom...
Any news? Eagles landed many from Rats? Trying to land a few from Ballarat. Still no coaches for Lismore, Worndoo and Caramut? Coaches confirmed at Rovers? Taty lost a few? Glen and Pens gain many from Hamilton merger? Bolac might big gaining more players than some thought, as the rumor was they...
