Goulburn Valley FL - 2010 Season

Ky have just about the best side on paper and perhaps they were a little bit off against echuca. you'd imagine they'll be on their game next time the two teams meet which will likely be in September

Goulburn Valley FL - 2010 Season

A couple of upsets yesterday with mansfield and tat having good wins continues to make the season even more interesting. Should be a good match this weekend between the two top teams

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 4

There has been a lot of talk on here about the shepp and western clubs (echuca ky etc) but almost nothing coming from the east. Whats happening around the hume hwy clubs and how are mansfield shaping up to defend their premiership

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 4

You can't discont the best three teams of last year; rochy ky and mansfield- they will still be strong. Especially Mansfield as Ned will no doubt bring a few with him again

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 4

big call on echuca rising that much considering how far down there coming from. Most clubs seemed to have picked up handy players and last years premiers look strong again and will have to be the team to beat

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 4

I assume by EFC you a refering to Euroa. Thats good to see for them especially if a few of them have experience to help out there kids you looked to have a lot of potential especially from there performances towards the end of last season

    Heathcote DFL Part 4

i don't think that changing strips would be a huge issue- plenty of clubs have been forced to change their guernsey when moving into a new league. does anyone remember what leitchy used to do when they played Wedderburn back in their North Central days. Both had very similar guernseys!

I think it was young Bill Hicks!

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

It will be tough given their start to the year but they have a friendlier draw over the next few weeks so if they can start to string together a few wins then who knows. Will also be dependent on how consistent the young kids are over the year and the how they go in the games they play against...

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

Just wondering if anyone knows the results from a few of the praccy games this weekend. I heard rochy had an easy win, is that right?

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

There has to be a mix- look at Rochy for example. They have a solid base of local footballers who have developed in their juniors and have topped up the side with a number of good recuits from out of town. They have developed a very good side without having to buy an entire premiership team.

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

Re: Official GVFL Thread (part 2) 4 prac games- thats a bit unusual. I would think most clubs would only play 2 and maybe an intraclub. will be interesting to see whether it pays off and the cats are match hardened or are disavantaged due to injuries/burn out.

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

I must admit they're the obvisious selections- maybe you'd be able to provide a greater insight SUPASTARR!!!

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

The KDFL Thread having been giving their predictions for the upcomin year using the following template. It's created a bit on interets and might do the same on this thread. I'll have a crack to start things off. Premiers: Rochester Runners up: Seymour League Medal: Ash Watson Goal...

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

Good to see someone have a crack at a ladder and ignite some discussion. Agree with tuckylives in that Echuca will still be competitive even with a much younger side. Interesting to see Mansfield being so high- i am sure Kelly will attract a few but yet to hear any names and am i right in say...

    AFL Mackay

Re: Afl Macakay Whitsunday will have the services 4 good young footballers who are moving shortly to Airlie from Moama. One has played GVFL senior footy for Echuca and if he gets himself fit will be a huge recruit!
  23. F

    Central Murray FL Part 2

He will be a very good player in the CMFL- Leitchy/Gunny continue to recruit very well out of Echuca! Will they play finals this year?

Goulburn Valley FL - Part 3

    Very well said, tucky!
  25. F

    Goulburn Valley FL U/18's - Part 2

Should be handy again with their best side on the park as the majority of lasts years side was bottom age. Could lose a few also to the senior side throughout the year. Good numbers already started pre season training with the senior group.

    Heathcote DFL part 3

Interesting idea but another way of looking at it is how many players at each HDFL club would squeeze into Rochy's senior line up?
  27. F

    Heathcote DFL part 3

Doubt Wilson will be at Colbo next season!
