Why we're wasting time with Himmelberg I'll never know.
Honestly thought Burgess was offering about what you'd expect for the role he was playing in the team so I feel he's a bit hard done by.
Wouldn't mind us trying Rachele across half back like a Dacios/Sheezel. Get some cheap touches, learn the movement of the game, far enough away from goals he'll have to actually assess the situation and move it forward without being baited by the goal posts.
One of the most selfish players I think we've had.
He's not without talent and a pretty good kick for goal but when he's within 55m, 9/10 he's not even looking to pass it.
I'd take Burgess over Gollant at this point, he doesn't seem to find a way to get involved at all which I thought Burgess did a pretty solid effort as a 3rd string forward.
Thing is, both Crouch and Laird had 55% and 48% CBA with 67% and 68% time on ground.
It feels like we're maybe trying to just run with one but unable to make up our mind.
Berry deserves a crack however he's of a similar ilk to what these guys bring which if that game is anything to go by...
Dude needs to mark with his hands, should have had one mark for a shot on goal which he opted to try chest mark instead - allowing the defender to get a fist in.
Just feels like he's stuck as a player at this level. He's not tall enough, no speed, not agile - lace out on the lead and he will...
This board is very quick to write off Tex. Much like when we were at the bottom of the ladder last time. When the delivery isn't a total basket case he'll look good again.
Kicked 1.2 against Melbourne and gave a freebie to Keays, could have very well been a 4 goal performance with 15 touches...
Would love a 60/40 split of a Rankine/Rachelle in the midfield or HFF really pushing up.
Rachelle to me looks to need more experience away from goal because while his kicking for goal is pretty spot on, he does some really silly and greedy things. Finding a bit more of it, learning from those...
Even the outs I can live with, both guys we weren't willing to pay the price for given durability history - neither of which have played a single game yet.
That said, unable to identify/bring in anyone from another team was a massive failing. Maybe we shot our shot and got turned down, but...
We're reverting back to a wooden spoon looking team vs the direction we were going last season which is hard to fathom.
As you stated, the other games are far more enjoyable to watch, even for the losing teams as you can see what they're trying to do. Watching our game, I can't tell what we're...
We're probably better off breaking it down to % due to how low our scores have been vs the rest of the comp. Then again, as someone pointed out elsewhere, Sholl kicked 25% of our goals last week and he got dropped so maybe not when we're hardly scoring at all.
Gulden not much. Watch what they do when Parker and Adams return, probably throw Heeney to HFF even though he's been destroying it in the midfield.
Get the point, just don't rate Longmire's use of some extremely talented guys (Mills another when not injured).
Edit: Gulden numbers higher than I...
I didn't hear it myself, only second hand but did lol when we said Rankine would spend more time up forward after he looked pretty lively in the midfield.
