It’s not even just intent. It’s working on defensive structures that prevent you getting scored against on turnover. It’s been Essendon’s glaring weakness for years and it hasn’t changed at all today.

Unfortunately for Tarryn, and not that he deserves sympathy, but the club and footy are probably the only thing that gives his life any structure. Big worry what he'll do still earning his wage but with nothing to occupy his time all year.

If it's just straight up re-offending with domestic violence he'd be deregistered from the comp for at least a year, maybe two. A long suspension would suggest there's a bit to it.
