    44.4% - The right formula

Pretty amazing to think you had to go 14-8 to qualify this year.

Changes - week 1 of finals

All reports are Grima trained strongly and was interviewed by Bowen, would be very surprised if he doesn't play. Only question mark is whether to play Delaney to cover the extra tall.

    Pre-match function in Perth

Good work Scotty. I'll miss this by a matter of days! Returning to Perth in two weeks and we get a Perth final, bloody typical!

    Past #27: Aaron Edwards - drafted w/ #82 in '06 ND - traded to Tiges for #74 in '12 ND - 100 goals @ WCE

Of all the players we would look to move on Edwards is perhaps the only one with genuine trade value. Can't see us delisting him before trade week, there's a few sides screaming for a player of his quality.

Travis Boak has been spoken to

Certainly hope not. We have about a dozen blokes in our best 22 who have all played less than 100 games and will expect a pay increase in their next contract. With no major retirements on the horizon we need room to move and make sure Atley, Cunnington & co. are comfortable with their wages.

Travis Boak has been spoken to

I wanted him, but at $650k a year he'd be close to the highest paid player at the club, perhaps barring Swallow. IIRC in this thread I said I'd happily trade for him if we paid him sub-$500k a year, doesn't look like we would have got close with that.
  7. B

Travis Boak has been spoken to

The Age is reporting Boak has accepted a 2-year $1.3 million deal at Port Adelaide. No issue with that, I would have been upset if we offered him that sort of money.

    North to get slaughtered

Did I suggest Swallow doesn't get free kicks? He's our number 1 clearance player, he's bound to get infringed like I'm sure Priddis & Kerr do. Just looking for some objectivity in posts, from both supporters, and publishing Swallow's ranking without identifying two West Coast players were...

    North to get slaughtered

Behind Shuey & Cox in Frees For. It's the treatment all ruckman get against Cox that annoys me the most, most looked after player in the comp.

Changes - week 1 of finals

Jeez bring in Friday I want to know who gets on that flight. Biggest selection week of the year and so many what ifs in my mind. - Wright, Wells & Grima in if fit. - Petrie to play up the ground & help Goldy, Tarrant the square. - Harper was made for finals, he stays. Can't give you...

Would rather see Petrie play in the guts for 40% of the game.

Anyone else getting frustrated with Chris and Brad Scott?

*Rubs face for 3 minutes* 'Yeah...Nah...Yeah...Lance Piccione was ah...Jonathan Hay will...Nah' Give me Brad Scott any day.

Will Gilligan MacLachlan be a great loss?

Good news. The game & broadcasting is in as good shape as its ever been and McLaughlan had plenty to do with that. He needs to stick around and sort the inequality of the fixture out.

Anyone else getting frustrated with Chris and Brad Scott?

Just be thankful Dean Laidley is no longer a senior coach. His inability to speak properly was infuriating.

All Australian - 40 man squad on page 89

Scott Thompson from North unlucky, will challenge Swallow for North's B&F this year.

The David Hale trade - how a win/win trade should be

Key position players are notoriously judged too early.
  17. B

    Past #15: Ben Ross - #3 in '06 PSD - delisted at end '11 season - JJL '12 VFL winner - HFC rookie '14

Great work Ben. Was cut down by serious hip/groin issues but is a very talented footballer, with a new appreciation for mature footballers I'll be dumbfounded if he's not at least on a rookie list in 2013.

List Mgmt. The Official 2012 Trade, Free Agency and List Management Mega Thread

We've missed Wells more than most apprdciate, although I believe Kieran Harper, Shaun Atley, Aaron Mullett & Jamie Macmillan are all capable of bringing pace and impact to our midfield.
  19. B

Past #4: Liam Anthony - delisted by NM end '14 - 4th in 2016 Sandover Medal

Yep can appreciate that. Was trying to put a 22 together last night and couldn't fit Anthony, Mullet & Macmillan in the same side.

Past #4: Liam Anthony - delisted by NM end '14 - 4th in 2016 Sandover Medal

Can't agree with that, seen LA (along with Macmillan) slot some great gems from 50.
  21. B

Travis Boak has been spoken to

    Agree, we'll see.
  22. B

    The Roos are coming.

14 wins, including wins against Geelong, Collingwood & St Kilda who have been bogey sides for years. Sure, I'll be gutted if we don't push West Coast until late Sunday afternoon but I hope on reflection North supporters consider 2012 a big step in the right direction.

    GWS Giants Vs North

I genuinely thought we were unbeatable at Etihad in the form we were in. Fremantle proved that wrong emphatically. If we can get Wells, Grima & Wright back I'm confident we'd be competitive in a Melbourne final, but West Coast at Patterso is a big, big ask.
  24. B

    GWS Giants Vs North

Limping into finals. West Coast will destroy us next week.

GDT North v Franchise MK II

    This quarter should tell us.

    What's up with Hansen
  27. B

GDT North v Franchise MK II

Talk of 5 goal wind to GWS on SEN?
  28. B

Top paid players and how much

IIRC injury payments come into play also, we blew our budget with an unusually high top-22 injury list last season.
  29. B

Travis Boak has been spoken to

He's not going to announce he's leaving before the end of the season. This is hardly a unique situation: Nathan Brown, Tom Scully, Garry Ablett, Chris Judd ect ect.
  30. B

    K.Harper

It may not be 'fair' but getting some touch v GWS may kick start him.
