Hey guys, just after a little bit of info about the quality of grounds and facilities in this league? looking at joining a club in the BFL next season but would like to know bit more about it first.
Coming from the Ovens and Murray where the grounds are quite big, pretty good surfaces and...
corryong demons of 01,02,03 flags, V the recent bullioh side? thoughts boys? my tip would be the demons. was pretty young when they were a power house although from memory i think the standard of the upper murray was a bit better back then aswell.
damned if you do, damned if you dont. nothing more annoying than the old locals complaining bout young johnny up the rd not getting a run now because his team has actually got off there asses and recruited some decent players, to have a crack at bringing some success to the club. more often than...
Re: NZFL: New Zealand Football League
this would be gold if it actually got up and running!
anybody got any info on whether there is actually an interest in something like this being set up?
boys i think you need to look outside the square a little bit with this one!
yes hes a good player and has proven so in the last few years at vfl level. although you need to bring a lot more to the table these days then just your talent alone.
the depth of information clubs/recruiters can...
Re: Ovens and Murray Part 3
i think what orange peeler whas referring to was o & m players leaving to play at a higher standard for more exposure and $$. Not for an actual side from the area to compete in the comp. There are definately some good sides in the o & m although a long way off...
Rocket coaching Devon Meadows next year
thats funny you say that cos i just saw someone wrote on the ovens and murray website that daniel maher from the albury football club is coaching there next year???
Demon85 - which locals are u referring to - sam cross, aaron nank etc? They'd add a fair bit.
should also look at getting that brad hindle bloke back, hed be handy. also josh collins, local boy played all his junior footy there. hes down in melbourne now i think but not playing anywhere else...
fair call silver kid, what are your thoughts on the options available now? has the umfl missed the boat on this one? would hate to see the league be fold.
and demon85, last game i went up and saw was this yr, corryong v bullioh in corryong. and to be honest it was the worst game of umfl i...
cheers cptkirk, you talking 3 k timetrials, long distance runs or sprints? or all? last two injuries have been upper body so sweet to go flat out on track. i was doing heap of 3k runs last pre season, doing them round the 10:20 mark. although once i started back with my team still didnt feel...
hey fellas not sure if this is in the right forum or not, but was most suitable one i could find. just want some advice on a new running program. im looking to move from a half back flank to the midfield next season. and would like to keep my pace but also develop a massive motor. ive been...
ha ha no not at all demon85, no more than anyone else anyway.
although i do think it would be best for this league to look at doing something different...., forming a sole upper murray side and joining the tallangatta league may be an option. would be good to see and may bring a bit more...
so whats news in the upper murray boys? probably a bit early for new signings up there this time of yr as there usually done week before round 1? any movements on the 16 a side? is there any chance of a merger and moving into another league at all?
Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
ha ha you guys have got to be kidding right? stop being so soft on these kids. i captained an under 14's side and we didnt score for a year! the ball barely ventured past the half way line! but we still loved it cos we were out there playing with our mates...
hey boys, just wondering if somebody could please just give me an update on how all the ovens and murray boys are travelling?
i see aalbers dropped to the twos at aspley and heard whispers he might be returning home? also kane godde was with southport last i heard, is he still there or back at...
hey boys just interested to know how ash "hopper" coysh is going for barny? was a good player for feds when they won the premiership in the upper murray. and also does he still wear head gear???
agree with playing deledio up forward. i played tac cup with him and he generally played in the middle but one week they played him at full forward. he dominated strong hands quick off the mark as you boys know and good kick. finished the day with 5! so knows how to play the position.
