Mitchell is like 12th or something and it’s mainly because he missed games. After Embiid it’s a big logjam of about 8 players with very little separation between them at the moment.
Not that he’s not getting discussion, but I don’t think many will actually vote for him. Feels like Jokic is kinda being defaulted to as the first vote, which is fine cause he probs should have won last year.
It does get old listening to podcasts, especially Ringer ones, and they just always go “be scared of the Warriors!” or “be scared of the Heat!” but the Warriors have been mid or s**t for 4 of 5 seasons, and the Heat are so inconsistent with effort and results to the point where they shouldn’t...
I struggle to rate him too highly comparatively to the other forwards you mentioned because he is basically a non-factor if he doesn’t mark the ball inside 50. Doesn’t get a touch otherwise, so he doesn’t create opportunities for teammates much either, and doesn’t provide any pressure at all...
All-Star break MVP update
Shai clearly in front now
All-NBA Teams using the scores

C - Nikola Jokic
2nd Team:

Shai continues to sit on top; for over a month now. Brunson shooting up the table. Embiid still the best player per game and per minute, but keeps missing.
Another fortnighlty MVP update, bit more seperation than the last one. Embiid dropping away because of his injury, after being way in front before Christmas.
R5 2012
Sydney 16.10 (106) vs Hawthorn 10.9 (69)
A complete capitulation by Hawthorn in the 2nd half, Sydney were outstanding and this is well worth a rewatch. Kennedy has an epic game that goes off the scale, Goodes dominates in his club record breaking game and Richards nullifies Buddy...
Been busier than I would like but I finally got through another 2012 game, even if the 2nd quarter on the AFL website was like trying to watch footy in GIF form...

Yeah the AFL website has all games from 2012 in their match videos section, at least on desktop anyway.
I think some games might be missing but hopefully no Swans games.
Will definitely point out the worthwhile games
R3 2012
Sydney 16.9 (105) vs Port Adelaide 12.11 (83)
Another game that was a bit harder than it should have been considering how bad Port Adelaide were back then. A lot of our goals were opportunistic from defensive breakdowns or mistakes rather than through good attacking play; early season...
R2 2012
Sydney 14.10 (94) vs Fremantle 12.9 (81)
What a terrible game, no one else should need to re-watch this. So scrappy with terrible skills, and we switched off horribly in the second half. A 40 point half-time lead cut back to 10 in about 10 minutes and had to hold on for dear life...
I'm slowly re-watching the 2012 season as I start to relive the nostalgia of our best teams and figured I may as well do the ratings to see if the thoughts of our players back then hold up over time (at least for me).
