I’m just hoping that one of our legendary posters who’s also a Simpson fan can make us a “monkey knife fight” meme featuring Port and the Pies (with Freo cheering on) in time for Saturday.
It does give me A LOT of schadenfreude to see the Saints get smacked like this on their home deck. Thinking of that smug prick SOS on the Henry trade (and the Henry bid actually) being a part of this list that’s now consistently refusing to turn up. Delicious.
Yep, you could see the close loss coming from the beginning of that last quarter as we squandered opportunity after opportunity. Blokes not even registering a ******* score from relatively easy shots - it was diabolical.
Again, unpopular opinion, but I reckon with Swittas pressure acts and Freddy’s pace both out for us, plus the Weagles newfound confidence I reckon they’ll push us in a close one.
In: Darcy, Ras
Out: Swit, Tabs
Sub: Brodie
When fit I’d like to see Wags come in for Walker. Unpopular opinion I know, but he’s more creative and a better defender. Walks has had a couple of turnover howlers in recent games that people overlook because of his speed and potential. Interesting that Hughes doesn’t seem to get the same leniency.
People scoff at the whole AFL conspiracy bit, but all you need to do is look at their draw as a high finishing team (of cheating campaigners) last year compared to ours finishing 14th. Ridiculous bias.
Oh yeah forgot Doedee.
It’ll come to bit them I reckon.
Meanwhile this Melbum team has heaps of youngsters in it. Would love to see us blood Simpson at home (well at least in WA) next week.
So, I know the Brions have some great players across their lines, but why oh why they persist with some of their veterans in Gardner and Lester I just can’t understand. Surely they’ve developed some better young defenders than those two.
God can we change this ******* title. I was incredibly proud of the way Freo played on the weekend, buoyed by their ability to adapt and choke Carlscum to the point they needed to cheat to win. More heartened than heartbroken.
