Autopsy 2023 Rd 21 Last quarter blitz sees Blues in 5th spot

Newman is a gun. Weiters is a brick wall. Motlop’s running goal was incredible, as was Acres’ last one. Fisher looked composed, made good decisions, and used the ball really well. Good to see Dow getting some confidence. Very good win by a team with a lot of injuries.

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 21 - Saints v Blues Sun August 6th 3:20pm EST (Marvel)

St Kilda play Marvel better than we do. Couldn’t get through their zone on that pissy little ground earlier this year. Not confident this week.

Preview 2023 Rd 9 Carlton vs Western Bulldogs Saturday May 13 7:30PM @ Marvel Stadium

You’ll probably find that the opposition we play at Marvel is worse than the opposition we play at the MCG. Teams we play at Marvel: StK, North, interstate teams Teams we play at the G: Coll, Geel, Melb, Rich If you’ve actually been going to watch us play in person, you should be able to see...

Preview 2023 Rd 9 Carlton vs Western Bulldogs Saturday May 13 7:30PM @ Marvel Stadium

We can’t play at Marvel stadium. Ground is too small and congested for us. Feel like we lose to the Bulldogs this weekend then beat Collingwood at the MCG next week.

Autopsy 2023 Rd 5 Blues get smashed by Crows

Completely unsurprised by this loss. No game plan for us, just kick long into the 50 and pray. TDK is not all that. We may have done better if Pittonet hadn’t gone down early. Plowman should never play a seniors game ever again. It’s f&$@ing embarrassing that he keeps getting chances at other...

Autopsy 2023 Rd 4 Tall Timber Too Good for Roos

Pretty lousy game other than a strong premiership quarter. Not sure why we decided not to take the ball through the corridor this week. I thought it was one of our strengths so far this season and we seemed to completely abandon it in favour of kicking down the boundary. Other than Cripps, we...

Autopsy Rd 3 Blues beat Giants - We're not putting that one in a time capsule

Great game from Cripps, Newman, Silvagni, Motlop (and others). We desperately need Walshy back to give us some composure in the middle of the field.

Autopsy 2023 Round 1 DRAW. Ugly Blues still can't close out games

Anyone know what happened to Zac Fisher? Got 6 possessions in Q1, then one possession in Q2, and nothing for the rest of the game. Was on the field for 80 of 120 mins.

Autopsy 2022 Rd 13 Blues rain on Bomber's parade - 'Sheedy blames AFL for brave loss and demands an apology'

I feel like the turning point was that BS gifted 50m penalty which resulted in a Heppell goal. It seemed to mess up our flow.

Autopsy Rd 5 Did Blues win? They s**t it in!

Was it just me or did we have a concerted effort to switch the ball and look for our chances to attack through the corridor this week? Last week it seemed like we were playing too cautiously, kicking long down the boundary and hacking the ball forward indiscriminately. Hoping for more of this...

Certified Legendary Thread 34 Essendon* Players suspended for doping violations - No opposition fans. Check OP for thread rules

Have heard it alleged that News Ltd paid for some of Hirdy's legal bills (probably around 2 years ago) as tit-for-tat after the AFL revoked Robbo's AFL media accreditation.

    Enough is enough

I think our list now is stronger than the list that Ratten left. The fact that we've gone backwards every year since Ratten left points to the fact that Mick is washed up as a coach. Now that he's broken the coaching record and lined his pockets a little more for retirement, I don't see any...

Toast Pick #19: Welcome to Carlton Blaine Boekhorst

Don't know much about him apart from what I've seen in the highlights package, but I was impressed by it. Has confidence to take the game on, speed and good foot skills. Am very happy with what I think both him and DVR will add to the team and am also bullish on Tutt. For the first time in a...

First to 100 games - Menzel, Buckley, Docherty or Graham?

Buckley. Has done enough the last few weeks to make me a huge fan. Always tries 100% but seems to have improved vastly in terms of composure, decision making and disposal efficiency. One of our best again last night.

    Kane Lucas

Lucas is a danger to his teammates' health too. Consistent distributor of hospital kicks/handballs. There were a couple of awful ones on the wing right in front of where I was sitting that made me cringe. If he really is best 22, then it's going to be a very long year for us.
