$75 a game when you include my wifes membership.
I can get my ticket at the gate and sit in the exact same spot for $80 for those 4 games.
Id prefer to use the savings and do an away trip to Adelaide.
(Dunno what the deal with your attitude is)
The lifting of the cup is a pretty historical moment even if it's not your team, I don't see why anybody would want to miss it. Especially when youve paid hundreds for a ticket.
Saw a couple of dickheads in the crowd, but met plenty after the game who were humble in the win. Im sure this thread would be a lot larger if we were playing Richmond.
Wasnt bad, glad I didnt take the day off work for it though. Bit annoying that every player that came past us was being interviewed by some hack journo so there was no acknowledgement or waves as they came past.
Imperial Hotel on Spring St was packed full of Freo supporters after the Geelong win in the 2012 finals and is generally a no fuss pub, close to the G as well.
I was under the assumption that there would be an official party organised by Freo/AFL but sounds like thats not the case?
Wonder if theres anything stopping people from selling their ticket as a package that includes a pencil.
The AFL clubs can get away with charging $1000 for a breakfast so I don't see what the difference is.
I feel sorry for people missing out, but you don't really have anybody else to blame other than yourselves.
The $30 upgrade is relatively cheap (about 2 beers for you Perth folk) and there were upgrades available up to a couple of months ago when we were in the top 4. You may have been members...
Plan for our small group is to meet in the city at 11 for brunch in a cafe, then walk down to the MCG via the Yarra at 12 or so.
Wont be touching a drop of beer until after the game...want to remember as much as possible about the day!
