In: Pick 2 and 7 in the prime of their careers, pick 57, pick 64, on 700-750pa (way unders)... and they're paying some of the wages Out: 12, 19, 30 in s**t draft... plus 14-18 next year.

57 & 63 could be as early as 40 & 41 with so few players going to be taken this year.

I agree with your assessment of us, but this is a heavily biased piece. Brisbane if the get Dunkley is definitely improving their biggest weakness. Grundy didnt play this year, whilst he's an excellent player... he's clearly isnt the barometer. And its hard to immediately improve the premiers...

I hear you, but you're talking as though its the only draw card. He narrowed his search to 2 clubs... and l can guarantee you that his starting point for choosing Geelong or Richmond was not "hey manager, find me the clubs that's easiest to deal with".

Cash is cash. And if Hopper ends up staying, thats more panic dumping GWS have to do - with players that actually havent expressed an interest to move. At least Hopper has shown he will move. And on the reputation point... you talk as though other clubs will remember good deeds done in the...

I'm completely weirded out by these Hopper discussions. I just dont get it. Hopper is contracted - l get it. But so is Haynes and Whitfield. So why are we needing to pay absolute top dollar, but Haynes and Whitfield are salary dumps - that potentially, at the last minute of trade period some...

You talk as though Richmond have never had a handout. It helps no one being basket cases and North (and their fans) - nor any club - want to be getting handouts, but they need it. We should be very grateful to have the fanbase that we have, but things can turn quickly and footy is pretty heart...

LOL. So dusty going to play two seasons @ $300k... whilst also delaying a million of what he is owed for 23/24... by a further 12-15 months (which will effectively cost him money)?? What planet are you on?

Yuk. Nank wasnt getting a game at Sydney and he went for 42 in a year where a lot of draft picks got pushed back. Soldo is a prem player and is a starting 22 ruckman. We should be getting pick 30 for him regardless.

Revisiting the Richmond Team of the Century

This. Knights was a joke of a selection when it happened. He wouldnt make our best 22 even since we changed to the AFL. Dusty, Rance, Jack walk straight in. Cotch / Prestia l could be pursuaded.

I'm pretty sure that deal was done in good faith that they would play him. Literally days after getting him to commit... they went and signed Higgins and Smith. Completely ******* ruined him. There is NO way he would've signed knowing they were just about to join. Geelong are selfish campaigners.

Analysis Richmond chief executive Brendon Gale douses any hope of an Alex Rance return

This is a pathetic post. Rance is - and always will be - a LEGEND of our club. He owes us nothing. Playing for two clubs wont destroy any legacy and he left us with good grace and our defence in excellent shape, largely built of what he did for them and their careers. I would have absolutely no...

THats not a win win. If he dominates the next 6 weeks, a top 10 pick aint going to be anywhere near compensation. We're sent to go back to the drawing board of luck, which someone else gets to do use our investment.
