Will be good to get games into the likes of Murphy against such tough opposition this week, very important for our shape

    Preview Changes vs Nth Melbourne

I really don’t think it matters if you let Sheezel have 50, teams have figured that out quite quickly. The rest of North’s defense is so so bad that it outweighs any good from Sheezel. North average double the turnovers of their opposition this year. Tex will probably get Corr this week, who is...

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

He has a deal with Channel 9 separate to the club commitments (hint: if they ain’t wearing club colours in an interview, the player has organised it, not the club), Rachele spoke about this on 5AA this morning. He chose to own it instead of coming out with excuses, which is in line with his...

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

It’s at a point now where they just aren’t getting the most of the list, which solely comes down to coaching. People thought our defensive 6 would be a problem, but Keane/Murray/Worrell/MM/Hinge and eventually Curtin are a good enough 6 to be testing the best forward lines. To me, recruitment...

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

Does anyone think Nicks is escaping media criticism because we have been in all of our games at some stage in the last quarter? Basically, we have been competitive enough in all games and haven’t had any against last years bottom 4 yet. I can’t imagine they’re delving too deep into his overall...

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

Well it aint that reliable given that there are clubs that have achieved this random stat of 3 top 4 finishes across 4 years who have either never won a flag (Freo) or have less flags than the Crows.
  9. BACCS

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

The Crows have finished top 4 on six occasions (5th on multiple occasions too after being top 4 heading into the final round), made finals on 15 occasions, played in three grand finals and won two flags. North are overall not too bad and similar overall to us, but I am talking about the now...

    Roast Stop Gunstoning Curtin, morons

Selection integrity is important, so why is Brodie Smith still in the AFL side? Curtin is an elite talent and if we recruited him to become a KPD, given we already have 4 on the list, then this was a major recruiting error. He is not just a bit part midfielder that went in there for spurts...

    Roast Stop Gunstoning Curtin, morons

I've got no doubt with a change of coach you will suddenly see Curtin playing AFL further up the field (either mid or wing/HB). Unfortunately, he has been pigeon holed under this current coaching setup and I can't see it changed until they are gone. For our sakes, I hope this change isn't too late.

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

We have finished top 4 two years in a row though (05/06), not sure why the metric is 3 in 4 years. Also finished with enough wins in 2016 to finish top 4 most other seasons (so could have been 16/17 too). Finished 5th a few times too. I want Nicks gone, but this was a very random stat to pull out.

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

Look, there's plenty to get annoyed about with the club atm, but that is as random a stat as you could pull out to mount an argument we have NEVER been run well. We have also finished top of the ladder twice, something not every club achieves. Also a consistent finals team until 2017. Are Port...

Review Good, Bad, Keeping shape, keeping shat - Crows V Bombers

We kicked 16.4 and had 18 marks inside 50 last week, how was it a problem for a ‘lot of last week too’? That looks like a blip unfortunately, but our ball movement and skills were good against Carlton.

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

Inaccuracy can come from good defensive structures though as they’re taking more shots under pressure and from harder positions. I do think we are clearly better in that aspect. However, to have it come at the expense of our scoring is a complete and utter * up by our coaches.

    Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Re-Signed to End of 2026 🤮

Yep, Sando was sacked for a far superior record to Nicks. I have zero doubt Nicks will follow the same path as Sando unless something changes dramatically with our form and selections.

    Opinion Non-Crows AFL 9

I thought my post explained fairly well where I rank all teams, not sure why you just quoted the first sentence. Our closest comparison is not North. They are 10 games away from being statistically the worst side in the history of the game. While we have severe problems atm, certainly not at...

Opinion North Melbourne Priority Picks Part 2 - 2023/2024

That is actually quite remarkable, but unfortunately also not surprising. Their drafting has been very confusing for a while now, just zero focus on KP stocks. McKercher and Duursma I'm sure will be decent enough players, but it is just more of what they already have. Drafting Curtin with one of...

    Opinion Non-Crows AFL 9

Not many teams have achieved the ultimate success since the 90s and I wouldn't put us in the same tier as North. The two most dominant and consistently successful clubs over the last 20 years are undoubtably Geelong and Hawthorn (Geelong probably a few rungs above the Hawks now given their...

Redbacks No More - SACA spuds are back

Crash Craddock mentioned that Warner, who some comparisons are being made to with JFM, had a far better defence early in his career and that is why he was able to succeed in the longer formats with his more attacking approach. JFM needs to still work on that side of his game for the longer...

That is just your angry state of mind I think. Decent list, large supporter base and good finances off field. If North can attract Clarko, we can attract a decent coach.
