This thread is to post your final ladder placings for season 2005 based on your current pre-season thoughts about your own club & others. Keep in mind this will be the final placings after the finals series.

If you wish to pass judgement on any posters predictions please be prepared to provide your own list.

Come seasons end we can dredge this thread up again & make comment on how we all went.

1. St Kilda- Anyone who saw the 1st Prelim knows this team has heart as well as talent
2. Port Adelaide-Should be thereabouts again
3. West Coast- Will step up finally
4. Brisbane- Still have one hell of a good list
5. Sydney-Will grind enough wins out to be there again.
6. Fremantle- Should have the season they should of had this year
7. Geelong - I think they may have overachieved personally so 7th for me.
8. Melbourne - They should make the finals.

9. Collingwood- If their best players stay fit then they should be close to finals contention.
10. Carlton- Should take another step towards being a power side again
11. Essendon- Kids arent good enough IMO.
12. Kangaroos- Will slide without some of their expierienced heads on board
13. Richmond- Dont expect an immedeate revival of fortunes.
14. Hawthorn- Just cant see them doing much more than last season.
15. Western Bulldogs- Kids will need to help out Westy,Johnson, Smith and co.
16. Adelaide- Their list is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite.

Some interesting stats;
Port Adelaide won 9 of their last 11 games
Richmond won 5 of their last 11 games but still finished 15th
Fremantle finished only 1.6% in front of Sydney in 8th-9th spot
Melbourne only won 3 of it's last 11 games
From the start it was only out of those top 6 teams, their had a huge margiin over the rest of the field.

St Kilda 72 -And I thought I was taking the bias out of it
Bris Lions 72 -Still a force
West Coast 72 - I didn't realise I rated them so highly
Geelong 68 - Can't see them beating the ones above...
Port Adel 68 - Could be above geelong

Sydney 64 - A solid team with out being great
Melbourne 56 - Over achieved this year but still a good side
Fremantle 48 - I thought they would be higher than this

Essendon 40 - Youngsters bar a couple struggle
Kangaroos 40 - Maybe a bad year for the roos but too much pride for bottom6

Carlton 32 - Will be the strongest of the bottom teams, more developed
Adelaide 28 - Will have to rebuild
Richmond 20 - are rebuilding
W Bulldogs 16 - see above
Collingwood 8 - Didn't mean for them to be this low must say something :(
Hawthorn 0 - Spida in leadership group, they remind me of what we used to be...


In amoungst the groups you could juggle the places....
Group 1 is 1-5 - The teams that will thrash others
Group 2 is 6-8 - The teams that are solid and win the games expected
Group 3 is 9-10 - Need to rebuild
Group 4 is 11-16 - Currently rebuilding or desperatly need to
