I have it on good authority that for every page this thread goes, Reimers will wear his orange boots for an extra game.

Good on him for having the audacity to wear them.

You do not have to earn the right to wear coloured boots, this is the most ludicrous suggestion i've ever heard.

People choose boots/shoes/etc because they look cool and for comfort. When you buy a pair of casual shoes do you honestly think to yourself "hmmm.....have i well and truly earnt the right to wear these?, maybe i should settle for this more conservative pair because i'm not too experienced at (insert purpose of shoe here)"

Just take a look at what i wear Saturdays and Mondays when i play basketball. I bought these bad boys because:

- they are the most comfortable shoe i have ever put on
- i have a dodgy right ankle and they are high-tops
- i absolutely love the look of them




In conclusion, let's worry about more important things.

These boots are advertised by CHRISTIANO RONALDO!!! He is the poster boy for these! He is the best footballer in the world! Reimer is not!

When I was buying boots, I looked at those and thought, "those look cool, but you'd need some serious skill to pull those off" and moved on to the next pair. Kyle should do the same!

Good point...the old fashioned black footy boot looks to have gone out of style at AFL level. Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention but it seems that white is now the "new black" when it comes to boots.

Might I just add my voice to the Bomber fans who think it's awesome that so many opposition supporters seem to hate Kyle already. Always knew this kid was gonna get under people's skins but to do it so soon is quite an effort.

And he can play too. Give him another couple of seasons and 15 other teams will be getting REIMER-ED week in,week out (lame,I know but how can I resist after an afternoon of beer swilling eh?)

If that is the case....He is a top bloke. But the boots were still ugly.

as an Essendon supporter, these boots have been the highlight of my season

FWIW, hes not going to be a McLeod (my favourite non essendon player) no one in the AFL at the moment will be, its like saying that James Seller, i ve seen him play, hes no John Coleman, might as well delist him

that said, Riemers shows a lot of promise, he has a touch of the Damien Hardwicks about him
