Marc vs OH
(rested players over last 4 weeks may help....big money on OH to move into next week gulp!)

OE vs StB
(my mail was crap last week - no real barrage back, thanks. If they can't win a luna park game then they ain't going to win this one)

Still feel:

OE into GF
OH beats StB next week
OH beats OE in the GF at 33/1

if this does not eventuate I will shout a Beer for all BF posters.
 
An urgent security notice has gone out to staff at EP over the finals weekend.

A yellow tent with ribbons, banners etc will be erected outside the ground - all equipment has been loaned/given to a sole protester by the Save Albert Park group.

A lone supporter in a 1980's Hampton Rovers jumper will be outside protesting the existance of Elsternwick Park as a viable football ground and the shifting of VAFA game to another ground.

As an aside, this same protester will be selling some old VAFA parpaphernalia in terms of old records, photo's, signatures and team the year placemats and stubby holders from 1968-1999.

He is a very passionate VAFA supporter and we would like to quell any issues as hardened VAFA supporters enter the ground.

OH 13 15 93

Great game, OH kicked 4 into the wind in the last q, at one stage 25 up, Marcellin kicked 7 with. The Eagles running game was excellent, Loewe and Voss dominated the last quarter along with ex SKOB boy Laz Siapantis to keep OH in with a chance.
In the ressies, SKOB kicked 9 8 62 in the first q to blow OC off the park, as expected.
 
oh wow seems like an awesome game. shame though about OH as a mate plays for them was hoping they would get up but oh well.

BS, Correction, Siapantas never went to St Kevins and never played for SKOBS, he went to Caulfield Grammar, goes out with sister of a Haileybury player.
Well done Marcellin, won fair and square. Hopefully the too old too slow stigma is gone as OH were finishing the better today. OH had 11 players under 23 today so future looks bright...

Could some tell me if the umpire that reported the OEG player last week was the same umpire that was standing in front of a mirror incident today at elsternwick.

Got a feeling it was.!! I would be prepared to get him a voucher at OPSM, this guy needs glasses very quickly.Game was stopprd for 5 mins, player down and no report.Maybe there was a report, hope all the establisment had a good hard look at this one.

Great game today although at times, particularly in the second quarter nothing that would have scared OEG too much. BNN obviously not too involved with the better players at the club. Laz played 19s with SKOB in 2001.

What happened MERTON do tell! we got stuck @ the junction and couldn't make the Wick in time.... was the bloke sent off?

SKOB shouldve won by twice as much with their 1's side running around.

Pity it wont get them into A-Grade Brian. Maybe they'll have some better luck in 2015 for your 90th birthday celebrations.

The umpire gave the correct decision and paid a free kick.This sort of minor incident happens everygame.If everbody had thought this oeg incident through and given a bit of common sense a run i am sure there would have been an adjustment.

Mert, come on lad, the incident was nothing, just a good thump and 'game on'. I thought the Umps were very good today - game flowed well, especially in last quarter.

A terriffic game, and whilst speaking out of my DEEP pocket, the best team won. I have been a big fan of Macl this year against the odds, but thought they lost their way after middle of the season.

Big boys at OH tried to keep them in the game today however the 2nd string players just did not fire and provide support ,especially with hard run from defence.

OH forwards presented very well, however, whether it was nerves or skill, the ball just fell short on so many occasssion.

Midfield run from Marcl kept them in the game and was the telling factor in the 2nd half. Good rotations and changeovers mean't their smalls were always going to be dangerous deep into the game.

Even though down by 2 you knew they were going to get up. Crapper and Spence best for mine, however I thought Considine was the prime motivator pressing forward.

OH - well, again I have paid via my cred (what's left) & wallett - Brewer cemented a great year however a few guys fell at the last Hurdle.

OH next year, just have to POP the EGO and realise they may need to spend 2-3 years in B Grade, develop YOUNG players and build something for the future. May need to stop topping up with 'older transistion players' and build a home for 'passionate, club footballers'

PS - I'm writing a letter to the Cancer Council - that plastic enclosed veranda out the back of the 'Wick' is the biggest smoke infested area south of Beijing......Jascave, please include this as part of your 'get out of EP' reasons.

Daicos(or is it Birdie Num Num or Blood4life?), Ive looked at your short post history and all youve done is pot SKOB...very funny, that chip on your shoulder must be enormous. How ironic that without a former SKOB player you guys would have been smashed today!
 
Noted a large contingent of Bernards coaches at the game but No oeg in sight ? they must be either very confident or very unprofessional. Obviously both

The nightlife must be all a bit too much for the elder gentlemen of OH if they are posting on a Saturday night rather than drinking with their good mates from OH......season is over for you boys see you again in B grade. Cardio where are we getting our beer from??

Sorry BS, wasnt aware he played one season with SKOBS, guess that says something that he only stayed around for one year.
Never potted SKOBS, before just your stupid comment about OH being a pack of chokers. Actually like most of the SKOBS blokes. I try and keep some comon sense whenever I post. Anyway, look forward to 09.

Yeah i saw simon and co with their slates and chalk.They were trying to put some sort of scaffold together but it kept falling apart.

I think they were all there measuring out how much rope they needed & marking out their territory. Don't want those bloody supporters getting too close to these team of highly paid proffessionals.

Nice try at avoiding the question, once again, very unprofessional of oeg coaches not to do their homework just in case the wobbly knees start again.

I remind you of my earlier post: “the current crop have clearly taken ‘the choke’ to dizzy heights.

oeg sad CHOKING history reads:

1999 more a wobble than a choke, favorites lost final
2000 made a D Grade GF but definite choke, lost by world record margin, 20 goals 5 pts!
2001 made a C Grade GF, smaller choke only flogged by 10 goals 5 pts
2003 favorites but another choke out in Prelim
2004/5 more mid level chokes
2006 favorites, but alas mother of all chokes, out in Prelim
2007 And they said it couldn’t be done!, took 'the choke' to a new level in the Prelim of course!

2008 ???????? …
