Am attending the service at my local RSL (Montmorency), then will head over to City Oval at around 12.30ish, to catch the end of the reserves clash, before hanging around for the main event from 2.00pm.

Re: Rd 3: Box Hill v Coburg @ City Oval 25th April
Milne and McDonald are the only interchange players not listed in the seconds team. Luke McDonald is from Eastern Ranges via Scoresby. DOB 29/04/90, 195 Ht, 92 Wt. In round one Luke kicked 5of ER’s 16 goals and was the third listed best player, in round two he kicked 8 of 19 goals and was the first listed best player and in round three 2 of 12 goals.
It is great news that Musto has been selected in the back pocket for the seconds. Timmy Clarke is number 14, his father David’s number at Geelong.
For your information Round 3 sees the introduction of the 23rd Player rule (VFL Seniors only). AFL Victoria has regulated the use of a 23rd player, they must be a TAC Cup player in designated senior VFL games in 2009.
This initiative will apply to all VFL clubs and will draw upon 19 year-old and top age TAC Cup players. The new regulation is as follows:
1. VFL Round 3 (April 25/26) - 19 year old players to be used only.
2. VFL Round 9 (June 6/7/8) to Round 12 (July 4/5) - 19 year-old and 18 year-old non-National Championship representatives.
3. VFL Round 13 (July 11/12) to Round 20 (August 29/30) - 19 year-old players and 18 year-old players (including National Championship representatives).
The 23rd player is denoted with an astericks (*) where applicable.

Coburg might be a bit too strong for our young lads.. I don't really mind though i love seeing BH win but i usually head down just to see the kids progressing.. Cant wait to see Yze as well. Disappointing Muston wont play.

ROUND 3 - VFL PREVIEW
Quote:
Box Hill Hawks vs. Coburg Tigers
Saturday 25th April
Box Hill City Oval at 2.00pm
By Daniel Dufty
Box Hill looks to continue their winning form against an experienced Coburg Tigers side this weekend at Box Hill City Oval.
According to Coburg General Manager Ryan O’Connor he confirmed Ben Cousins, who suffered a hamstring injury for Richmond in his AFL comeback against Carlton in Round 1, would play if passed fit by the Richmond medical staff during the week.
If not this week Cousins returns for Coburg against Casey in Round 4. Richmond young-gun Trent Cotchin and the injury ridden Mark Coughlin are also possibilities for selection for the big clash this weekend. If all three senior Richmond players manage to be selected this weekend, expect Box Hill City Oval to be packed to the rafters.

Re: Rd 3: Box Hill v Coburg @ City Oval 25th April
Was able to see about a half of footy of the reserves match. Went to see Beau Muston play.
Got a few kicks and handballs. Read the play well.
Good crowd in attendance even before half time.
Some pics including the half time melee where Hawk Leigh Kitchen went down after being hit by a speeding B Double in the form of Hislop for the Tigers.
End 1st Q - both teams on 3 goals each.
End 2nd Q - Box Hill reserves lead Coburg Tigers 9.8.62 to 7.4.46
Some of the people at the game
Senior players watching the reserves game.
